There's a simple solution to meet all angles if they decide to include Thomas and Martha in the COO. The Wayne's are apart of the Court but more so to keep an eye on things and do their own investigating and digging into to what's really going on. They might have to do some bad things in the process to stay in good faith until they can no longer sit back. Their not totally clean and have to get dirty for a greater purpose of trying to figure out the core plan of the Court and get too close . Some of that dirt might of led to some messed of stuff happening because of them. Puts them in a gray area for Bruce who has to come to terms with some of the stuff they did and could parallel with some of the stuff he has to do himself. He then decides he's going to finish what his parent's started and finish the Court off.

This doesn't at all look like a secret society. And that's clearly not a person in an owl mask.

Same scene or not, the cops are on a different floor. So the guy in the black suit may not be a cop or after the same thing. We just don’t know yet.

That's a bummer. Guessing it's a mixture of lighting, and pausing during a motion shot so the face was blurred and just looked like a mask. Oh well.

What does the fact the cops are on a different floor have to do with anything? I never said I thought he was a cop. I think he's just another random civilian in the same building. Watch the video in slow motion in high quality, and you can see his face, while probably caucasian, isn't white. The flash from the gun just hits the face for a split second.

This may not be a popular sentiment, but I honestly wouldn't mind if they omitted the Talons and kept the Court as a shadowy, "Eyes Wide Shut"-style cult made up of the Gotham elite. Those members with the white owl masks are infinitely more creepy to me.

Leave the action sequences to the Riddler as he works to expose them.

I disagree. I understand what sets apart this Batman movie from others is the noir detective aspect (Riddler murders). But there is clearly going to be a lot of fighting too. I see no problem with bringing in the Talons to fight Batman. It can be split.

I'd rather the Court wasn't behind everything, but as Batman is investigating various matters he keeps coming up against tantalising evidence that points to a secret cabal doing its own thing behind Gotham's closed doors, that he eventually decides to look into.

But that’s not it. The plot is Riddler committing murders. The Court isn’t behind the murders, which is what the police or Gordon/Batman are investigating.

If Riddler is killing off corrupt elite, then the court isn’t behind the murders. They’re behind the centuries old corruption, kidnappings, assassinations of politicians who have been trying to do good in the city. So there’s layers.

It’s the complete opposite. The league of shadows have been trying to destroy Gotham for centuries. They would be against the Court of Owls and everything they represent. Here, the Court would be ruling Gotham for centuries. This is what the Illuminati conspiracies are all about.

In a higher res photo, it SEEMS Riddler is wearing another kind of white mask under is military surplus mask if you notice his eyes. Looks kind of... Court of Owls to me. Not seeing his eyes at all is creepy!

The only reason I'd want Court of Owls over Black Glove is the iconography. Find some way to combine them with Simon Hurt and we're golden. Lincoln March was just a lame Simon Hurt anyway.
