There was a The Dark Knight video game in development but it got cancelled for one reason or another. It was estimated there was a loss of over a hundred million dollars in potential revenue from that game not being re-leased around the time of the movie.

Do you think they're go gonna for one to tie into the film? At the same time if they do go through with it would be the second major batman video game to come out within the span of a year with arkham coming out fall 2011.

I don't think a TDKR game is likely. Arkham City will satisfy us enough.

I actually didn't mind the Batman Begins video game... wasn't perfect but up until AA it was the best Batman game we had. It reminded me of a toned down Splinter Cell.

That being said... No, I don't want one. Unless they secretly have part of Rocksteady already working on it or something...

i have Batman Begins on the Gamecube and it's pretty decent

the best tie in games to the movies was for the '89 Batman that came out on NES and Sega Genesis, and of course Batman Returns for the SNES. Konami did an awesome job with Returns i think.

Yea i actually enjoyed Batman Begins, but with Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, we do not need a game based on the film. Plenty of digital Batman to go around already.

Since WB is publishing Arkham City, there will be no Dark Knight Rises game.

Why would they do 2 different Batman games back to back. They arent Activision with the Spider-man franchise

Haha true, but they like money, just like any other corporation. Plus id think there would be a big enough time gap for them to do it and it not interfere with AC.

Well it'd only be like what 10 months. I think they're using AC as their movie tie in title basically, kind of like how AA came out a month or so after The Dark Knight was in theatres.

I'd honestly be OK with it if Rocksteady did it... High Moon has been working on the Dark of the Moon game since War for Cybertron... so, that movie tie in (it's a prequel) could be pretty darn good.

Lets say Rocksteady was working on a DKR tie in but it's set BEFORE the events of Rises and after the events of TDK.

Could be good.

I doubt we'd get that though.

It was actually over a year after.

The best of both world?:

Oh yeah I was thinking Arkham City came out the August after The Dark Knight

I think that's what some of us (at least me) are saying. It doesn't HAVE to be crappy... doesn't even have to tie in to the movie plot, much l ike The Dark of the Moon won't be tied into the movie plot as it's set a year or so before.

They really could make this suit one of the unlockables in the AC game.

I do wonder if they'll have any tie-ins or promotions that go along with the movie.

"Preorder and be the first to see the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises!" or something like that.

That would be a brilliant idea. Maybe when the movie releases they can put Bane out as DLC, so he can be playable in survival mode. Or even just as a skin overlay for Batman in the story mode.

Just one for the Challenges.
Having more suits for the main campaing would add to the replay value.
