The De2cent

Nice to see that bad CGI isn't what they're going for this time around for the creatures. The first film scared the hell out of me and my friends. 'The Descent' is not a film you want to watch alone.

i saw he first but i didn't think it was as frigtning as everyone made it out to be.

I actually thought the spelunking sequences were far more nerve-racking.

This movie comes out in spring of 2009 in the UK. What about the states? I hope this movie doesn't **** up how awesome the first one was.

Promo Trailer

I'm not feeling it...

[BLACKOUT]It seems that they are really going with the route that the creatures don't exist and Sarah hallucinates everything. Or that the cave makes people see things. :whatever:[/BLACKOUT]

They had this trailer up a while go, but lionsgate pulled it after a little bit then less of a hour.

Yeah, this looks awful. The monsters look way too...human.

Make-up looks half-assed, too.

Thats why its called a promo trailer. I'm sure stuff is not even totally finished.

...Idk, it IS a promo trailer so maybe they can make it better but it looks very bad compared to the first. I don't think they shouldve made a sequel (The ending was VERY good with sarah not making it out of the cave.) Oh well...Im really getting an Aliens vibe from the story though, I just hope its a worthy sequel and not some half-assed Aliens wannabe.

Promo trailer or not, it looks like a DTV release. Maybe the picture quality will improve, but the sequel's plot seems lame, and not recreating what was scary about the first film.

Wow this looks really crappy. They wouldn't force someone to go down there again and this actually looks like a decrease in the budget from the original and that they are making it just to make it...pass.

This looks really bad. I loved the first one too.

Who would be stupid enough to attempt to wander around those caves again, well I guess then there woudn't be a movie.

It's not a hallucination, she's alive. We never saw her die onscreen.
But doesn't the main character see her as a ghost in the car. But since that part is a dream sequence it don't part. Or are they continuing with the end where she does get out and not the unrated or original ending.

They keeping the '2'?

I'd've prefered a subline.

The Descent: You'll Never Come Up Again

Well, that is a UK poster. So sometimes they differ then something in the US. Like the endings of the films compared to the US one to the one everyone around the world saw.

What poster? What are you talking about?

I'm not talking about the poster. I'm talking about it being called '2'. Get with the program, bright spark. :hehlol:

I DID watch the first movie alone, late at night, with my parents away on holiday, it was the first film to terrify me in a LONG time, such a great movie, think I wont bother with the sequel.
