I was in JB hi-fi the other day and I came across a tv series box set that I had been reading novels of...the dresden files, so I bought it, complete series $29.00...had a look , pretty damn impressed, stars Paul Blackthorne as P.I /Wizard for hire, Harry Dresden..googled it , turns out it was on the sci-fi channel...which explains why i never saw it before, I dont have satellite tele subscription and I dont think foxtel show the sci-fi channel anyway...anyway...like I said i was impressed....anybody else seen the series...

I saw it. I thought it was pretty good. I dont think it had a proper ending since SciFi canceled the series.

I liked it. Sure, it wasn't exactly like the books, but it was fun.

It definitely deserved a another season. It certainly had the viewers, but they weren't satisfied with their target demo

I thought this show was great. Too bad it was prematurely cut short by SciFi channel.

Wasn't the reason it was cut due to the fact that it was popular with women? I'm having a hard time remembering why it was canceled...

Good show, I was very disappointed when they cancelled it.

Doesnt make sense. It had to have been low ratings.

It's streaming on Netflix
I'm listening to the "fool moon" audio book this week at work

I swear I remember hearing the total ratings were decent for the night it aired (Sundays, wasn't it?), but it was more popular with women than man ( or vice versa?).

Maybe its just fan speculation I'm remembering.

I liked the show. I Netflixed it about 7-8months back and found it to be quite good. I've only ever read the first book so I'm not a diehard but thought it a shame Sci-Fi wouldn't give it another season.

However, seeing as how they cancelled SG-U and Caprica after one season which had become franchises at the network I guess I can't be too shocked. I figured both of these two would get at minimum 2 seasons.
