Has there ever been some kind of time travel story in the superman comics, where a human was some how on Krypton? If so, did the red sun give them some sort of powers?

I don't think that's ever happened before, but I imagine that that's exactly what would happen. Or it might just give you cancer, who knows?

i wonder what a white sun does to kryptonians or indeed humans :P
or a orange..!

doesnt a blue sun give humans powers? hence blue kryptonite?

Wouldn't Krypton's sun just like, totally not give humans powers? Because Superman has powers on Earth because the environment is so much weaker than that of Krypton's...so...wouldn't it stand to reason that if brought to Krypton, humans would just, you know...die?

I could be totally off. I'm not smart.

No. He gets his powers from our sun. He's kinda like a plant I guess.
WE would just get cancer. Or the clap.

Depending on the continuity, a human on Lrypton will either A) be completely unaffected, or B) die horribly.

Krypton's gravity alone would crush a human. The first chapter of "The Physics of Superheros" deals with this a great deal.

Again, that depends on the continuity. The whole "Krypton has great gravity and that's why its people have great strength" thing might not apply, especially in the stories were Kryptonians were generally rather weak and, uh, nerdly.

We know that in current continuity, Clark and Kara are both completely, 100% "human" without their yellow sun powers. On Krypton they would be just as human. So most likely the gravity on Krypton now is close to Earth-norm.

Not everything kryptonian has to give a human cancer.

I remember there was a Pre-Crisis story where the Wonder Twins gained Superman-like powers under a blue sun (or a white one, I can't remember). In regards to the red sun radiation, I doubt it has that much of a different effect on humans considering how gleefully villains (and heroes) have resorted to "red sun lamps" to beat the crap out of Kryptonians. I don't know about long term effects, though. There was a thread like this once and went into the whole light wavelength mechanics and how a red sun was supposed to have harsher light and Kryptonians should have probably been black. Something like that.

And I swear, Lord Doom, if you post about the cancer again you're just spamming and padding your post count.:o

there was a silver-age story where Supergirl was looking for the perfect girlfriend for Clark, and she found some planet where the people had super powers under their orange sun, but then lost their super powers under our yellow sun. So maybe people'd have superpowers under an orange sun? I dunno, it's about as likely as anything else.

?
By everything thats gone before:

Superman gains power from any wavelenght(sp) longer than red.

So he has power any sun brighter on the spectrum than red,... so yes,.. under and orange sun or better,. ... he's anything from enhanced to supreme man.

Humans can't hold a charge,.... so we don't get that under any sun.

A human would be instantly crushed by Krypton's sun. I'm pretty sure that in Kryptonian enviroments no human can survive in current continuity. But in Pre-Crisis stories humans got enhanced abilities under any star on a more powerful wavelength then their own.

Well Pre-Crisis wise it has no effect I remember one story where the red suns rays reached earth and Superman had to use the Super-Mobile and it had no effect on the people from earth.

I have no idea what current rules are but pre-crisis humans or kryptonians gained powers under any sun hotter than the one of their origin. Under a blue sun Earth people were as powerful as Kryptonians under a yellow sun while Kryptonians were even more powerful, Going to a cooler sun did nothing.

I once heard that there would be an opposite effect, regular humans would gain Superman-like powers.
