For the fourth movie, maybe they can do a multiverse crossover with Queen Latifah. :nerdy:

I enjoyed the first 2 movies, they're no nonsense R rated action movies that are hung on the charismatic shoulders of Denzel whose screen presence gives them a dollop of gravitas, this looks like a fitting close to the trilogy.

I don’t even remember the second. I liked the Home Depot finale of the first

Loved the first one, but wasn't too impressed with the second one.

I think I prefer the first one, but I liked the second just fine.
As for the new one, I've only seen a couple of trailers, but I got a bit of a "Man on Fire" vibe.
I have no idea if the plots have much in common, it's just the first thing that popped in my head from the trailer.

I wonder why lol

For the most part i like the first one the most too.
The Sequel kind of has a weak final act to me and that drags it down, but is still very enjoyable.

So i will definitly check out the third.

Just watched the first two last week. Looking forward to seeing the third one tomorrow

I honestly think I need to rewatch the first two movies to see which one I prefer which I do plan on doing sometime this week, but I remember enjoying them enough when they came out.

I'm actually planning on taking my mom see this on Friday since we are both HUGE Denzel fans and love seeing him in these kinds of movies/roles so hopefully its as good as the first two.

This has been a pretty solid action franchise so far IMO.

Wow this was such a borefest,Denzel was great as usual but can't imagine watching this ever again. What a damn shame!

Awww that sucks to hear. TBH the trailers looked OK but not great to me. Is the action at least good? Fuqua usually delivers on that front.

Kind of felt underwritten and like a throwaway sequel. A lot of buildup with little payoff. Basically doesn't have a third act.

Denzel Washington is entertaining. Fuqua is a talented director, but it just kind of abruptly ends.

I do like the idea of a protagonist who is always a step ahead of the villains and he's like a psycho killer in a slasher movie. Those were the most interesting parts.

The kills are probably the most brutal in the series. In terms of out right action its the lowest in the series. Im not sure what the budget for this movie was but its quite contained. I think the best thing was Denzel's charisma with a splash of arrogance , my showing had a few laughs from the audience, Secondly you see a beautiful side to a Italian village and thats where the heart is to this film. It just didnt have a spark like the other 2 had, there was no ramp up in energy and fell flat many times (Pacing issues) Will be lurking when most of the hype see's it to see the reaction. Hope at least a few like it, I personally didn't. Left quite disappointed.

I think Denzel probably is showing his age and can’t do action scenes like he used to, not that he was John Wick before

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's better than the sequel and it does have its lulls but I thought it was a pretty good ending. The kills were definitely more brutal and graphic here

You know, i always look back to his film "virtuosity" back in 1995 where he genuinely looked like a action star. I remember him saying he only made the film because his kids wanted to see him in a lead action role lool. It didn't do well unfortunately but its a personal favourite of mine and Russell Crowe knocks it out of the park playing SID 6.7 (Antagonist)

I get the complaints about the lack of action, but at the same time it honestly didn't really bother me that much because I was actually pretty engrossed by the story and most importantly Denzel's performance.

His swagger and charisma is just on fire here and this honestly might be my favorite performance from him in this franchise although I definitely would have liked to see a bit more from him action wise.

This definitely had some of the most EPIC kills in all three movies though.

The Dakota Fanning reunion was a nice touch too.

I like how they did the action, quick, fast, ugly, and brutal. Dispatch them as quick as possible and don't even give them a chance to think.

My problems were more in the structure and script.
