I just don't get it. How the heck do we go in the span of two days from Asa vs. Tom to Charlie Rowe taking a freaking 12 point lead?

Rowe wasn't an official candidate before. People were debating the rumored ones.

I do have an opinion on the Asa vs. Tom debacle, but given the option to go with Rowe, I'll take it.

because out of all the actors on the short list he just SCREAMS Peter Parker. to me, at least. lol.

he has the right height. the right look. and it seems the right personality.

even though he is 19, he still has youthful look and could pass for a 16 year old.
 
I can't believe it! Only a little over 1,000 miles from where I live, somebody knows who the new Spidey will be! Hory shet!

Do we know for sure it ends this week, though? (Sorry, I've been out of the loop as of lately) We've had pseudo-dates for confirmation before.
 
X Knight and CaptainWagner, the crew in Atlanta presumably already know the final decision (isn't that what has been stated?), and I live in Colorado which is about 1,500 miles from Atlanta :P

It was meant to be a joke, as I was acting like Atlanta was extremely close to me when in reality it, of course, is not LOL
 
For me woo for tom or rowe. Oh bloody no for lewis or lintz. And meh for asa. And plummer I too am hmm. As I don't know his work. But he does seem a solid choice. But not a first pick.

We don't know for sure. As for thr article broys kit feels we will have answer by the end of this new week. Heck for all we know it could drop in next to hours at midnight ala marvel deal did. Or it could end on fri.

My guess is maybe the marvel and sony guys made call last night. And finalizing contract and deal with pick. And if things are a go make the big splash.

If actor is revealed this week. I could see peter scene or scenes be shot this week or next. And spidey scenes shot at the end of month. To give a few weeks time for costume folks to finalize the costume to the actors specs.

Rowe was always my favorite younger alternative to Dylan O'Brien. But when that short list of 5 actors came out some weeks ago, he was not on it. And rumors were Asa and tom were the favorites. So, we've basically been debating just those two.

Glad to see I'm not alone...

well, whether or not they have made their final decision isn't known.

but, if we are to believe the latest report, then they should certainly be in the process of making that final decision as we speak.

if they haven't already made it, then in the next few days.
 
Last we heard when Kevin made comments on suit is desogned. They then probably had concept and design settled on. And since actor wasn't locked in yet. I doubt the costume folks would make a whole raimi or Webb type high quality suit yet. Since they didn't have actor or actors spec in.

If the suit is a more home made look ie something in vain of kick ass suit. Maybe they could have something made. As that type of costume could be easier to tailor to fit more snug to actor and quicker to make.
 
I will say Rowe does look like peter parker but does anyone else know of a film they could convince me he could spiderman or peter parker?

Watch Neverland, in which he plays Peter Pan. It's got Rhys Ifans, Charles Dance and the late Bob Hoskins in it as well. It's 5 years old though, so Rowe's still quite young there. So if you have the time, maybe you can watch Red Band Society, a TV series with Octavia Spencer from last year. Rowe plays a teenager dealing with cancer, but it's a very lively performance.

So they're making the Sinister Six after all with this cast? I bet Asa will be Doctor Octopus.
 
I've only seen Asa Butterfield in Hugo. Never seen any of the others.

I don't have a preference. Assuming any of these six end up getting the part, I'll trust that Marvel did its due diligence. You know, actually getting to sit down and talk with these actors and running them through auditions - something we armchair casting directors aren't privy to. I've been burned and surprised too many times over the years to put all of my eggs in one basket without knowing all the facts.

Whoever gets the part fits the profile for what Feige is looking for, killed the audition, and won the role. Simple as that.

Thank you sir!! i gotta say after watching a few clips from Neverland he is growing on me quick, Im still not happy about marvels right to go young but Rowe may not be so bad..
