The Flintstones...any fans?

Anyone notice that during the scene when the fired work force captures Fred Barney's snow cone truck is playing the Jetson's theme? I just noticed that for the first time...
Really? lol, I'll lool for that when I watch it tommorow:woot:

Why did Rosie have to ruin my Betty fantasy:(

I bought the movie on VHS & the Soundtrack on cassette a long time ago. I only ever watched it a few times though. I liked Elizabeth Perkins with red hair & Dino was cool, & Halle Berry was also hot. Wish they would have made Captain Caveman a character in the movie though. One thing I liked about the prequel movie was Alan Cumming as The Great Gazoo & then a younger Dino.
Yeah. but having him in the prequel screwed up the continuity.

the first movie brings everytime my childhood to life, and with over a decade, it still remains as good fun and entertained movie, at least to me, but i think that the prequel was totally awful and boring, just my opinion...

On the list of cartoons turned into films, this one ranks pretty high up there.

But Rosie O' Donnell as Betty?

 Agreed. IMO, its tops.

Especially when you compare it to the live action adaptations of Garfield, Underdog and most likely Alvin & The Chipmunks.

The Flintstones movie was gold.

All you need to get over your mad hate hard on for Rosie's opinions and general sometimes annoying not knowing when to stop giving them even if 99.9 percent of the time she is right.

She was great as Betty Rubble. Sure, she's not the skinny twig Jane Karkowski was (who was also great), but she was still better than her as the character and reminded me of the character more than Jane did.

Had the VHS when I was a kid, loved it. Been a long-ass time since I saw it. I might try to find it on DVD.

I'll never understand the hate for this movie. Is it perfect? No. However, it was a fun adaptation that got most of it right. John Goodman as Fred Flintstone was one of the most PERFECT casting decisions in movie history.

:up::up:
I kinda liked Rosie as Betty too.
I guess I don't hate her as much as everyone else does.
She would make a perfect Rosie in the Jetsons movie.

I just hope they get the Jetsons as right as they did The Flintstones in the first movie.

I really hope that movie comes to light...if its as good as The Flintstones, ill be happy.

Danny DeVito for Mr. Spacely!
