The Founder - The McDonald's Movie

You're a gentlemen, Fallen.

This movie looks right up my alley. :hmr:

Now I need a darker and edgier McDonaldland film. Nothing can kill the Grimace.

This is going to be a hard movie for me to watch. Michael Keaton basically taking down Nick Offerman. It's like having two awesome gay dads and watching them go through a messy divorce. :(

Before the trailer, I wanted to see Michael Keaton play Ray Kroc. After the trailer, the performance I'm most looking forward to is Nick Offerman.

It looks pretty good.
Nothing special, but I'll be seeing it for sure. Probably try and sneak a Big Mac into the theater

I'll be seeing this if the reviews are great. I see potential here. Finally, a true story film that I can actually get into. Just something so weird and darker for something that doesn't seem like it at all. The contrast is interesting. And this looks like a great role for my boy Keaton. I'm intrigued by watching a protagonist in a true story film being the thief.

This looks great. Michael Keaton of course is a highlight, but it's great to see Nick Offerman get a role like this.

Looks great.

Why was this removed from the awards season window? If the movie was any good, Keaton may have gotten another nomination at least.

It's being distributed by Harvey Weinstein. I'll let you make your own judgment from that. :funny: But apparently it tested decent but not as good as they thought it would be. August release still though.

i like how Keaton always acts so much with his body. fantastic actor.

McDonald's as the church of capitalism?

yeah, i can dig that.

He's one of my favorite actors to watch. i caught some beetlejuice mannerisms in there that made me laugh.

I liked everything about that trailer except for the cliché wife character that just doesn't seem to go away.

I'll see this for Keaton alone, but it looks interesting as well.

Since the trailer doesn't paint Croc in a saintly light,I am gathering that there isn't an endorsement deal with McDonald's.

Yeah, count me in for this. Looks great.

I find this trailer to be extremely trippy.

It starts of with a folksy, small town innocence then goes to a very dark place.

I love it.

Keaton is back!

Has moved from August to December.

http://deadline.com/2016/07/the-fou...michael-keaton-release-dat-change-1201785969/

The Weinstein Company is moving its Oscar hopeful The Founder, starring Michael Keaton in the role about McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc, off its August 5th date and will push it to later into the year for Oscar consideration. This is the second time the company has changed the release date. The film was originally going to drop at Thanksgiving and then was moved to August. Now it’s heading to December 16th for an Oscar-qualifying run before going wide on Jan. 20.

Hate that. But great news that it's academy awards caliber.
