the french

You give people from Texas a bad name.
I have been to France and they don't give a **** about Americans. They think we are all the same...so I grant them the same courtesy. Plus Bush is from Texas and they connect the imaginary dots to me.

Wow, and all this time I thought that two wrongs didn't make a right!

how can anyone HATE a country ? i understand not to love a government, an ideology but an entire country ?

oh, and it wasn't a "MUSLIM ATTACKS!!"" last year, it is way more complicated

the French are amazing. but only when drenched in syrup.

Why so much hate for the French?

Half of you are americans because of them....instead of remaining part of the English commonwealth and I rarely saw so many French as when i lived in London, ironically.

The whole Parisian rudeness stereotype, which is sometimes justified, is in most cases a myth. Service has improved in most places. Not to mention, that in NYC, the best restaurants all had French people on the staff.

i have no problem with the French.
i'm actually in love with one Frenchman in particular.:o

The French Put Themselves To Sleep

By Tammy Bruce
Not satisfied with the shortest work week in Europe, the French have now decided that it's just too darn difficult to stay awake after lunch.

Too tired to work? Then have a snooze

They already enjoy Europe’s shortest working week. Now French workers are to be encouraged to have a nap after lunch.
The state-backed siesta is part of a €7 million (£4.7 million) campaign begun yesterday by the Health Ministry to encourage the French to sleep more and better. A third of the population does not sleep enough, experts say.
Well, if they didn't have to spend so much time running from marauding "youths" and putting out the fires engulfing their cars, they'd get more shut-eye. I'm just sayin'.

i admire the european outlook on work schedules. they work to live rather than us americans who live to work. i've never understood the point of devoting so much time to work that you hate, when life is so short. **** being a wage slave, i'd rather enjoy life than spend it slaving away for 60+ hours a week for a company that couldn't care less about me.

You forget one of the best things to come out of France.

I HATE cheese-eating-surrender-monkeys(french)

I don't remember surrendering to anyone and I don't like cheese. So you'd better ditch your US media-enforced stereotypes and wake up to a world where intolerence and xenophobia is pushing us all too far.

You're right, they should let their workers die of heat attacks and stress like us god fearing americans. :whatever:

So, they're doing something that alot of countries already do. What's the problem?

It's funny of all the Shows that make fun of France.

Simpsons
Hank: By the way, Homer, what's your least favorite country: Italy or France?
Homer: France.
Hank: [chuckles] Nobody ever says Italy. [sets the coordinates of a giant laser gun]

South Park
Cartman: Clyde, Clyde! If you had a chance right now to go back in time and stop Hitler, wouldn't you do it? I mean, I personally wouldn't stop him because I think he was awesome, but you would, right?
Clyde: I'm just gonna stop playing.
Cartman: When Hitler rose to power there were a lot of people who just stopped playing. You know who those people were? The French. Are you French, Clyde?
Clyde: No.
Cartman: Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, Clyde?
Clyde: Alright, alright. I'll do it.
