The Ghost Thread

I went for my ghost hunt. Caught an evp.

was by myself and I was recording as I asked questions.
I asked for a name and when I heard the recording you can hear a female voice saying something but it's a light wisper but you can hear it.
I'll upload it as soon as I can because I want to know what you guys think it says.

I look forward to it. What kind of environment did you go hunting in?

We went from 9-12, just three of us(all male).
We had to sneak into the graveyard because it was locked.
Cold weather but dry.
There was spot lights in the graveyard so lighting was good to walk around. Took 100 pictures so I got to go trough them. Because I'm a photographer it will come in Handy for dismissing things that may look paranormal that is not.

Take a lesson in sneaking: Don't park right outside the gate. :(

I've been wondering what happened to this thread. Looking forward to the audio and pics, LW.

Oh, any mausoleums or elaborate setups? I would assume them to be ideal spots for activitiy.

We can't drive so we walked. Which was good because no one knew we were there:woot:

No mausoleums there, very small graveyard.
There was tombs which were locked up.

Thanks!
The evp blew my mind away because it is a female voice.
And no females were there with us.

Question: With EVPs, after asking the question, can you hear the voice during the hunt?

Apparently people do hear voices sometimes.
I didn't hear voices or anything at the time.

So you only recognized a voice when you listened back, later? *spooky* :ninja:

So I went ghost hunting last Friday.
Nothing special.

:o

Wait .. first you said you went by yourself, then you said there were three of you. *suspicious*

I really tried, too.
I must admit, for some reason, it was so fun being scared.

I was by myself doing the evp, but I was two friends who were off taking pictures.

Some friends invited me to go ghost hunting with them one night. Pee Wee Gaskins was a well known serial killer here in South Carolina, and he had a couple of houses here in Sumter.

Needless to say some friends invited to go ghost hunting with them at one of the houses and try to catch some EVPS. I declined the offer because I truly was scared ****less and had no interest on getting attacked. However I do believe that ghosts are just as human beings are real, and it is a subject that is very interesting and provides a lot of information on EVP's, poltergeists, and other aspects that come with ghostly phenomenons.

It would be nice if skeptics/non-believers would be more open to the possibility of things that are unexplainable do exist.

I think there is a lot of bull**** out there regarding ghosts and "evidence" of ghosts, but I do believe in them.

I'll be uploading the evp I caught later on.
I've been trying to figure out reasons behind it,
but I can't. The voice is too distint.
Hopefully you guys can help me figure
out what it is saying.

Like I said before I won't tell anyone what I think it says,
but everyone I know comes up with the same answer.

You've already spoiled it a bit, you said you asked for a name and heard something, so we are to guess you heard a name and will be expecting the same. If you want validation you need others to hear it without such context or clues.

EVP's are known to be auditory Rorschach tests, you tend to make out of the noise you hear coherent things, but usually not following any pattern, grammar or structure. Names are especially easy to pull out of the din, as names can follow any pattern and they don't follow any rules mainly since they come from so many language origins.

Experiment: there are plenty of people on these forums that aren't native English speakers, ask them to listen too, but in their native tongue, and see if they hear anything.
