I think he'd be an ideal villain for the 3rd movie, if not as the main villain, then as someone hired by a revamped Mandarin.

An industrial saboteur with advanced tech going directly after Stark Industries, with his own personal mission given his hatred of men like Stark.

Industrial espionage I think could make for a cool direction in the third film, and The Ghosts suit and array of tech could lead to some very cool sequences.

Anyway, here's his wiki bio for those that want to read up on him, and below are pics of his different looks throughought the years, if you have any more pics please add them. :)

I'd love to see him. Gotta keep the hood, though. It's his signature look:

Ghost would be great.

Doug Jones for the Ghost if they go for the tall lanky look in the recent books.

I agree on the hood Kedrell, I think the version of the suit from the recent animated series would work well adapted to the screen.

I love the hood. The rest of the costume can be retooled, but the hood makes him more mysterious.

Ghost is a villain I think would work very well in IM3. You could go either way to make him the film's main threat, or even just someone who is part of Mandarin's forces/mercenery he hires. Many possibilities, and he is just cool.

I think they can have the best of both worlds. Mandarin can hire The Ghost as an industrial Saboteur/assassin to take down Stark and Stark Industries, but he doesn't realize The Ghost has an individual motive as well.

It fits with the take they described. As more of a Tom Clancy spy thriller. Yeah, I'd love to see it.

I think this would work very well

Rounds out the Ten Rings, which have lingered in the IM films to this point, as well as making Ghost more than a 1 dimensional henchman with cool powers. I like this idea

The Ghost and another one. I think an amped up Iron Man can handle them both at the same time. Blizzard? Female Spymaster?

Or Giant-sized Ultimo with War Machine. But that's going to put a huge dent on the CGI budget.

Not sure I'd want to see Ultimo on the big screen, honestly. As for other villains, if you were gonna use Female Spymaster, why not just go with Madame Masque

But, if Ghost were paired with a 2nd villain, I'd prefer Mandarin :o

I read that and I think it's a great idea, the first espionage CBM. It should also be a chance for Tony to bust out the stealth armour. :D

I think having what could eventually become a situation where Tony, Mandarin and The Ghost are all facing each other could be really interesting.

Stealth armor vs Ghost sounds like a great idea.

That would make for a great chase sequence.

I'd prefer to see Mandarin more than anyone, but I think you're far more likely to see Ghost than other rogues like Whirlwind, Dreadknight or Hypnotia.

Though as cool as Ghost would be, it'd feel awfully 'samey' if they went with tech vs tech again. We've already seen it in both Iron Man 1 and 2. I'd like to see something a bit different for the third.

I think he'd be a good choice. I think the Ghost and Titanium Man would be the ideal underlings for the Mandarin.

:wall::wall::wall:

This arguement again? What do you think Mandarin is? He's tech aswell.

Most of Iron Man's main villains are tech based.

Just like Thor's rogues are evil Asgardians, Hulk's are evil gamma powered villains and caps are skilled hand to hand combatants.

Should future Cap movies not feature Baron Zemo, Baron Struker or Crossbones because Red Skull was used in part one?

I still feel The Ghost is ideally suited to IM3, even more so since Black's recent interview. I'm just wondering if he'd work better with Mandarin or Madame Masque.

Man I'd love to see that.

.

Considering Shane Black seems to dislike the Mandarin and thinks he is a racist caricature, I doubt Mandarin would appear in this film. However with only Ghost and Masque as villains, there wouldn't be a direct physical threat to Iron Man.

a combination of the ultimate ghost, classic 616 ghost/armored adventures ghost and current 616 ghost is fine

he could wear the white costume plus the hood and underneath is a white version of the iron man armor which provides his power and he can start an armor wars

They might have an armored henchie. Even though some fans (and even Black, IIRC) have said they don't want to see another clash of armors, I think it's damned hard to avoid one, considering that's the M.O. for 90% of Iron Man comics from the very beginning.

I have a strong suspicion that Crimson Dynamo or Titanium Man *will* show up in the employ of Madame Masque, who might also use Ghost and even Spymaster as part of her team.

Redundancy aside, I'd love to see the Titanium Man myself.

Though they could always use the Dreadknoughts. Especially if they do end up using Madame Masque, considering their longstanding association in the comics.

If Shane Black doesn't like Mandarin, how would you all feel if he wrote Ghost as being the leader of Ten Rings?

I wouldn't go ape**** if Black did make Ghost the leader of Ten Rings, but.....why, exactly? Do the Ten Rings even have a place in this story?
