The Graysons are NOT coming to CW!

It appears the CW will be making a show about Dick Grayson and his family pre-Robin years. This could be interesting, or a total failure. While I really like the Robin character, specifically Richard Grayson, I don't think there's a lot to hold a show like this together without fudging up the characters history and canon (i.e. Smallville) Discuss.

I think it was a terrible choice to base a series off Robin, pre-Robin. I mean, Clark Kent had a great pre-Superman story, thus we got Smallville. But Robin?! WTF?

Just give us a Justice League spinoff of SV, dammit!

I think they'd much rather have him in the movies but Nolan , Bale and the public are against that idea.Lol.

So my guess is they're doing a John connor/SV/slash Heroes thing. It sounds lame to me. They tried Birds of Prey several years ago and that was awful. .

Even Nolan will be against this. He said Robin should be young (12 or so).

And here, theyre obviously going to cast an older PRE-Robin going through teen angst.

Probably a 20 something playing 16 or so.


I'm thinking this is their attempt to replace Smallville.

Nah. The WB is trying to have its cake and eat it too.

There will be Batman movies after Nolan and Robin is a definite possibility.

If you use Nightwing, people will be expecting Batman, Gordon, etc updates and that messes with Nolan. Even before Nolan's Batman Begins,Birds of Prey said Batman was missing from the get go and Huntress hated him so she wouldn't go out and find him.

Exactly my thoughts, I really dont understand how this sounds like a good idea to anyone. A pre batman story would be more interesting than this but pre Robin?? In my opinion he doesnt get the slightest bit interesting until he becomes Robin and even then he's not awesome until he becomes Nightwing!

I bet it's going to be chock full of gratuitous anvil dropping like Smallville, only they'll have to make it even worse since that will be their only means of establishing ties with the source material.
