Vixen: The Animated Series - Coming to The CW Seed!

Yeah, I'm just going to wait until all the episodes are released. This cutting it down to 5 minute episodes isn't worth it.

I'll be annoyed if they don't end up bringing her to live action by the end of this season of Arrow/Flash/LoT.

I'm sure we'll see her on one of the shows. Now that John Constantine is canon Vixen's mystical nature fits right in.

Are these released once a week? It feels better to watch these all at once, but I'll stick with it this way for now.

So, it was good, I guess. Certainly, I've spent five minutes in worst ways before.

I think it'll be every Tuesday leading up to the Flash/iZombie premiere week.

Was never a comic book reader, so please excuse my ignorance. Was shocked when they said it was Detroit and they were in Michigan. Every DC city I've seen so far has been a fictitious city. So does real America belong in DC too?

Yeah. Just like Marvel, things take place in a world with real and fictitious locations.

It was good but once you cut out the credits and such this was only 3 minutes and 35 seconds of content. I wish I'd not even bothered now and simply waited for them all to release so at least I can watch a full half hour show.

The issue with waiting for the entire series to come out is that it will affect the hits and ratings these videos get and will discourage WB from doing similar shows in the future. I'd rather support projects like this to full extent, since action animation, and aimed at adults at that, is becoming very rare.

What difference does it make for hits if one person watches each episode over a couple of weeks or all in one sitting?

Because they work almost like television ratings. It's not just the size of the ratings, but how consistent they are as well, week by week.

Well, that's dumb because that's like cutting an episode of Flash or Arrow into 3 minutes and whatever seconds like this first episode of Vixen and expecting people to consistently watch it each week. I don't see how they expect many to watch it like that rather than wait until the full thing is released.

Who is vocing the evil lady?
She sound a little like Jada smith or it is me ?

I think evil lady is Queen Bee of Byala.

The CW seed is probably a better gauge than Nielsen.
Yes I wanted more of a full show too. But, it's probably shows at least an attempt.

Person in charge said no . But agreed to research plausibility of character.

I say be happy. At least there trying for us

The animal effect was different in this one. Rather than the image in silhouette superimposed over Vixen (the same effect that Justice League Unlimited used), they actually had her shadow as that animal and had all her violence off screen. That was a clever way of handling it.

I'm thinking each episode is slightly different in theme and focus (which is why it doesn't quite work as a single 30 minute episode). This one was about her past. I didn't expect the professor to betray her, but things are relatively expected so far (still, it's interesting to have villains who know more about the hero's abilities than the hero does).

I said I would just wait for all the episodes but I had nothing to watch so I watched it. It wasn't bad but it just being so short leaves me feeling so unfulfilled. The shadow effect is an interesting way to portray her powers, though I wonder if this is an evolution of her powers starting off as shadows? cause they probably shouldn't change it up between 2 episodes.

Remember this

They are going to use rating system to decide how to go forth

Waiting to binge watch will probably hurt CW's perception of public approval

I'm going to watch it twice each day they come out

Remember networks only care about 2 things. Ratings and Profits.
Actually only money

Well not like it is going to get 2 million viewers on CWSeed. And I am sure they will take notice if they see a large spike in viewership once all episodes have been released.

2 million no. But it's all relative if XYZ show gets 40,000 views and Vixen got 100,000 views. A sign of viewer support would possibly lead to more.

CW seed is obviously a new tool to meter fan response
