As you can tell by the title, I'm interested in starting up some form of RPG/Fan Fic sort of deal on this site. I've talked to a couple of my RPG buddies of mine from my Green Lantern RPG, and they're game.
Really just looking to gauge interest at this point. I won't bore you with all the details yet, I'll just give you a quick little run down:
RPG Vs. Group Fan Fic:
Usually, with a traditional RPG, you have a Gamesmaster who dictates the story and the flow of events, then has the other guys add in their pieces to it. I'm not great with this myself, I prefer -->
Group Fan Fic: The "Gamesmaster" is replaced by an "organizer" and we abandon the traditional RPG format. Essentially what happens here is each person gets to have their input, as much or as little as they want, as to their character and the overlying story. We get together with ideas, then the Organizer forms them into a reasonable structure. It's a very open, free-flowing and "loose" format.
Now, the RPG would focus on GL mainly. This would be open to using a pre-made GL, or, you can create your own, with your own backstory. It's entirely up to you. However, it is possible that, later on down the road, we could broaden it to more of DCU, including other heroes. But, I want to get the GL part going first. Before we even consider diving into the rest of the DCU Multiverse. There is no limit to the amount of heroes you can use, but please keep it within reason. Also, we are not limited to current comic continuity. So, it's a really creative place to be at.
Because I said I wasn't going to go into a huge amount of detail, and can already see myself making this way too long, I'll end it here.
Please, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. I encourage everyone to ask whatever they want, as this whole thing might not be super clear yet. Either myself, or Maverick will be open to your questions/comments/concerns.
Anyway, I hope we get a couple people who are interested.
