The sequel to the 2006 horror re-make, "The Hills Have Eyes," which grossed over $41 million at the domestic box office, is written by horror legend Wes Craven and Jonathan Craven and will be directed by Martin Weisz. The storyline follows a group of young National Guard trainees who are attacked by mutants during a training mission in the New Mexico desert.

It looks alright.
I really liked the remake from this year. So i hope it can just be as brutal and unreletting as the remake was. I'll give it a show.

The cliche girl in the cast...lol. I am kind of getting sick of these mandatory things in films today. I liked the remake a lot but a sequel...come on. :(

Well atleast there trying something different and isn't a direct copy to the original Hills have eyes 2.

plus wes craven wrote it so it can't be all that bad.

Well you have fun with it I am gonna pass. Looks like similar situation with cliche characters like a lot of these sequels these days.

And Craven also did Cursed and those Scream sequels. To me he has lost it.

I was about to say the same thing. I think we can thank Craven for not doing that.
And I happened to like the Scream movies and Cursed.

Some movies you just don't need to take serious. All you have to do is turn your brain off for 90 mins and just try to enjoy yourself.

In other words ignore that it is **** and not try to notice how laughable it is? No thanks.

I have no doubt that it can maintain the brutality, whether it can maintain the depth is what worries me.

Hey whatever man. Everyone has there own tastes. It would be a boring place if everyone liked the same movies.

Will this have all new mutants since most all of the others were killed off in the remake or do they disregard the first one or what?

No there be new mutants. I'm sure there were a lot more than what we were shown in the first one.

Awsome! I loved the original one and the remake. This one looks better than the old Hills Have Eyes 2.

looking forward to seeing what Craven can deliver.

Yeah i never saw the original hills have eyes 2 but i knew it had to deal with the younger brother who ended up marrying the ruby chick. but obviously they couldn't do that since she was killed in the remake.

Yeah, imo it wasnt that good.

This one actually looks good, like I said I have faith in Craven to deliver a awsome film.

Yeah i saw a trailer and it looked that.

Like you said i have faith in craven. Should be as hardcore and brutal as the first.

I don't know, you would think that if a guy with a dog could kick the mutant's asses, a squad of well armed National Guard trainees would stand a better chance.

Well you're right on your asumption but I guess that the protagonist's survival in the first film was because the love for his family gave him the strenth and fury to go to the extreme and become as savage and brutal as the mutants themselfs. This caught them by surprise, That and that he outsmarted them specially the big one. If he had just gone berserk and confronted them headfirst he woudn't have survived. He was smart in taking them one by one. In the sequel i think there will be more mutants
and this militarys will probably be too sure of themselfs and will get sloppy there's when the mutants will get the advantage. That's just a theory of course. compared the example to aliens, the marines where too secure and too cocky, and they paid for it, on the other hand ripley wasn't as strong or trained as they were but she knew what they were dealing with and she was vigilant and cautious and that's why she survived.

Yes its an excuse but I tried. Really to be honest I don't think they should do a sequel I though the remake was pretty good and I don't want them to damage what they did with the first one.

Very true.

The remake and the Descent are my favourite horror movies ever but this looks pointless,no cast from the frist and not the same director who i think was a big reason the first was so good leaves me little interest in this
