Cause he's selfish...remember when Roc La Familia was supposed to be a compilation album and it turned into a Jay solo album. Every single artist that he's "taken under his wing" has been through some **** at some point or another. Jay is almost as bad as Diddy when it comes to that stuff.

yeah one of the girls i went to high school with got signed to Bad Boy, saw her in one vid and now i think she's since left the label and pursuing gospel (which is where she wanted to be from the get-go)

I don't get why anybody signs with that guy. He clearly has no idea how to promote artists. He just stockpiles talent to in order to make albums for himself, anybody that does release an album typically ends up going through DRASTIC changes in their life. Biggie was murdered, Mase found Jesus, Shyne was sent to prison then deported, Black Rob is in prison, Loon converted to Islam, and everyone else faded into obscurity.

Shyne got deported to Belize where he was born...He should be straight though as his pops is the Prime Minister.

I'm not sure what happened to Carl Thomas but he was talented as hell. Nobody escapes Diddy unscathed. That guy from making da band is making youtube videos wearing suits that's three sizes too big.

This pretty much happens with EVERY hot label of the moment...The label has a bunch of artist who have the exact same sound then they sign some highly respected veteran MC and said MC releases lackluster music or get put on the shelf.
