the guardian music section has a pretty intresting article about Tech N9ne.

anyone else intrested in damon dash/black keys (rock/rap project) blackroc. Guestlist inclues Mos Def, RZA, Q-Tip, Raekwon, Ludacris ect

I still bug off the fact that Jay didn't want to originally sign the dip set.

Well Cam'ron had dissed him multiple times on record. Obviously Dame was the one behind those cornballs getting signed.

You just hit the Lupe Fiasco fan jackpot, mutha ******!

I mean, yes I like Lupe Fiasco.

Well Cam'ron had dissed him multiple times on record. Obviously Dame was the one behind those cornballs getting signed.

And? Jay would have been getting a decent cut of whatever profits were earned from Cam dissing him. Business wise it was a stupid move. I can't stand most of that dipset garbage but they were incredibly popular.

I meant he had been dissing Jay before he was signed to the Roc. Jay's probably not going to turn around and sign Jaz-O to Roc Nation tomorrow. Plus I'd say they were more "up and coming" as a crew at that time than incredibly popular.

Either way, they did end up signed to label...thanks to Dame and Biggs. Hell Dame made Cam "Vice-President" or something.

Hip Hop needs a change...too much trash on radio it's unbalanced...

I only have doe for one of these to get sent of to be professionally mastered etc so without any non constructive HATE i need a quick poll round up that i'll end by the end of the day so I can see which is more receptive for radio or single material. I've had several people pick and choose but better with people who listen to everything and that's Superherohype if anything... SO please help me out here guys...

also add y u chose what u chose. Not what's doper, but what's smarter to push as a single or which is just HOTTER...

Thanks in advance for those who take it seriously enough to be mature and vote accordingly

The future is NOW!:

“Just chillin’” with Dame Dash may have just spawned a rap supergroup project. On Wednesday, at Dash’s new facility (art gallery, TV studio, music studio and more), DD172, critically acclaimed underground lyricist Curren$y told MTV News that he, Jay Electronica and
Mos Def

have combined forces to start recording an entire album together. “That’s ridiculous!” Curren$y said. “Jay Electronica is from my city, he’s from New Orleans. I never met homie until I stepped foot in this building. He came here to meet Mos. And Mos, I had only known him for 24 hours prior to that. But genuine people could recognize [each other], it was like, ‘Let’s go.’ ”
Curren$y said Mos came up with the name of “Center Edge Territory” for the trio. When asked exactly what the moniker means, Curren$y would only comment emphatically, “Everything! That’s everything!

“We all know the game is in turmoil. We know the machine messed it up,” he added, explaining why they will be putting their music out independently instead of with a major label. “We know we don’t even need to play that game, especially with access to all of this sh–. We are our own machine.”
So far, Center Edge Territory have recorded six records together, but they have no concrete plans as to when the full-length album will drop.

Mos Def

Jay Electronica

Curren$y

... with them together... who needs Talib. I'm looking forward to this like no other before it.

Definitely, Jay Electra and Mos is a powerful duo. Who is Currensy?

He was with No Limit and Cash Money back in the day. I don't normally like that style of rapping but I dig his:

How does everybody feel about "Baby By Me" by 50?

I like the hook, the beat, & even the video is really nice but 50s lyrics are...bad

He used to be real good. He fell off hard though. BISD was pretty wack too. I only kept a few songs

Almost a month away from Lasers. It'll probably leak before then, but I'm still going to buy it.

Pretty much foaming at the mouth with anticipation.

Also, to me, the Clipse have fallen off hard too.
Every song Ive heard of Til the Casket Drop has been mediocre at best. There verses on the Kardinall Offishall song were nice but their solo stuff is meh

You just described most of 50's career. :hehe:

I think Ne-Yo has consistently proven himself to be extremely talented. I hate his dancing, but as long as I don't watch his videos I usually enjoy his music a lot.

I still like Clipse. Kinda Like a big Deal is tight.

bit "meh" to Ne-Yo though.
I'm really feeling that newly leaked Neptunes track on the cut:

Clipse is prolly the only group of rappers I give a pass on the constant drug-talk. Their swag is too real. :o

Ne-Yo is that dude, though.
Dude's a female on the inside. If you look up the credits for half the R&B hits by women, they were all written by him. :funny:
