is anyone else really hyped for B.o.B's new album like I am? The first two tracks i've heard from it (Nothin' On You and Don't Let Me Fall) are making me thinking this will be a classic..

I have one of his mixtapes from a few years ago. Haven't listened to it in a while but from what I remember I liked him. I'll check his album out.

Listening to E-40's newest one now. He still can spit that Cali fire when he wants to.

Oh man you guys have gotta check out this track by Beezy called a Day in the Life. It's on youtube, i can't post it coz it's got bare swearing in it. It hilarious, and completely true.

Really excited for June 22nd, Recovery will be one of Eminem's best.

As good as Marshall Mathers LP, Eminem Show, and Encore? Unlikely.

You consider Encore one of Eminem's best?

It's not really best lyrically speaking, but I find myself listening to it a lot. Way more than Relapse anyway.

ENCORE?? Even Em admitted that ish was trash. :funny:

If Recovery is Em unleashed like he was on the last track of Relapse, then it's gonna be a monster.

what i've heard in the rapbasement forums considering they have very good sources, is that Recovery will be in the same calibre as TES and very likely MMLP and very heavy on the Em-produced tracks like TES. I think Relapse had it's chance to be "the comeback" album after Encore was not very well recieved by fans like myself. So hopefully this album does Em justice.

The only Em LP i've ever truly loved is Slim Shady.

Chatting about getting out of his face on drugs, killing people with chainsaws, raping 16 year old girls? I'm there.

I just don't give a **** is IMO, his best track ever.

I'm buzzin, Dirty Dozen, naughty rotten rhymer
Cursin at you players worse than Marty Schottenheimer

Admit it, **** it, while we coming out in the open
I'm doing acid, crack, smack, coke and smocking dope then

Extortion, snorting, supporting abortion
Pathological liar, blowing **** out of proportion
The looniest, zaniest, spontaneous, sporadic
Impulsive thinker, compulsive drinker, addict
Half animal, half man
Dumping your dead body inside of a ****ing trash can
With more holes than an Afghan

See all that is bonafide genius that he has never reached since i don't think. Orson Welles would be proud.

I thought Relapse was great, personally. The sheer lyricism alone made it a strong album, and while some of the subject matter may have seemed repetitive, I looked at it more of Em examining that subject matter a little more and reflecting on it. Some of it is little more than shock value, but his skills as an emcee are never overshadowed, IMO.

And yeah, anyone who thinks Encore is better than Relapse . . . . :whatever:

Since when did Jay-Z start looking like fat Urkel? :csad:

Damn you two.

But for real, he looks hilariously bad there.

Those look like the giant "I'm trying to look sincere and innocent" apology glasses Chris Brown wore to all of his interviews a while back. I think Jay-Z beat the crap out of Brown and ganked his glasses.

Yeah, the album is going to be dope for sure. Can't wait 'til the track with Eminem is released.

B.O.B. feat. Hayley Williams (from Paramore) & Eminem

Only on the second listen so far, but I'm really feeling it. Good lyrics, nice subject matter, and everyone was on point. Very mainstream accessible, and for once it'd actually be a good look for hip-hop.

I'm sure it doesn't need to be said, but Em ripped it again. All these guest features and working outside his isolated box seems to me like he really wants to branch out as an artist that can collaborate with his peers.
