I honestly don't even recall the character until I actually thought about it for a minute. But I guess these types of flicks aren't massive gambles with no baggage.

Bought the first issue off the spinning rack in the late 70s. Can't believe they're giving this the nod over Nova, Iron Fist and at least a dozen others.

They're not.

Marvel Studios aren't involved with this. The rights to 'The Human Fly' belong to Paramount, I believe.

So you can rest easy.
 
That sucks!....i was hoping this would come from the Marvel studios....they have the financial back-up for movies with smaller unknown properties...and make them work!

1. Ever heard of Evel Knievel, and the proliferation of injuries and metal joints.
2. Stuntmen were sometimes referred to as a Human Fly.

And just in case, because I'v seen how things go here, no I'm not saying that makes it a good concept or character, just saying that's where they were likely coming from when they put that together, since you asked.
