He chose to get himself involved in illegal dog fighting. He knew what he was getting into and the risks that he was taking. He didn't need the money because as you even acknowledge, he was a wealthy NFL star.

He put himself in jail. If you don't feel that he did, then who's fault was it?

Yes. Drowning a dog with your bare hands is sadistic and it's certainly barbaric. Same with electrocuting them.

And the simple fact as you like to put it; Is that dogs have feelings too. It's not about comparing them to humans. No one is trying to value a dogs life more than a humans.

Michael Vick had been pampered all of his life. And he had extra protection in prison due to his high profile. And I'd be willing to bet some extra perks. So boo hoo if he has to go from his mansion to a cell. It was his own doing.

How did I lie first of all? I never said my friends or my parents talked about my this. I just said people I know. This could be anyone. From a teacher to my barber. It is random people that I know. They were people who defended Vick in sports. Roy Jones Jr, Dieon Sanders, and Clinton Portis all defended Vick. But I guess their impressionable teenagers that are just trying to be cool I mean it doesn't matter that they could have lost endorsements and gotten much bad press for saying that. They just wanted to be cool. You can keep saying im a impressionable teenager. Doesn't make it true. Vick knew what he was doing. Of course he did. All im saying that in his mind, he didn't think that was wrong at time. Vick has said so himself. Peta attacked the President because he killed a fly. They said that flies have feeling too. That won't stop me swatting them away. Im not saying what Vick did was right. But all animals probably have feelings. That won't stop me from stepping on a roach. I will change my opinion that it wasn't barbaric and inhumane cause it is. I give you that point. I never said what Vick did is right. I have been saying that I don't care about dogs. I'll stick to that. If your not human I don't care about your life. Now I don't find him murdering the dogs that isn't barbaric and inhumane to me. I do find the torturing and making the dogs fights is wrong. Torturing a dog for fun is wrong. I said as much in my last post. Pampered all his life? If your gonna call me out, how about you do some damn research first. Vick mom and dad couldn't spoil them if they tried. Vick's childhood was depressing even by my standards. He was raised in ghetto. Violence was everywhere he lived. Vick's mom had two jobs, was on welfare and help from her parents just to raise Vick and his 3 other siblings. I bet where Vick lived he probably saw dog fighting as kid. This was a guy who needed something to escape. Escape from the harsh realities of the life he lived. He saw the dog fights as kid and didn't know better. It was entertainment to him. He was never pampered all his life. He was in a bad environment. I mean like you said about me, he was just a impressionable child. As much as you may dislike Vick for what he did, don't lie on the man. You know, you can call me a person trying to be cool(Why would I try to act cool on a internet forum for Superheroes. The nerdiest **** in the world possibly) or impressionable(I can think for myself and I did some research. If I was impressionable I would have just said the **** people said to me right?) or a liar(never did lie. Might wanna go check again) or a troll(Why does a person who has a non PC opinion have to be a troll when he's debating you and not resorting to name calling like you do), that's cool. Call me 10 or 14 or hey maybe lets go 8. I've been thinking for myself and stop letting people influence me ever since I became a atheist(My mom is a Catholic. If I was impressionable shouldn't I be a very religious person just like her? HMMM).I don't know everything. Neither do you. That whole you don't know anything when 16 is ********. If you don't try to learn anything then yeah it's probably true. But not for me. If you wanna criticize me or my opinion and suggest that im immature. Well you do you. I can't stop you. And what exactly have you seen? You're probably around 16 years old. And that's not an insult. I can tell by your "opinions" on things. Michael Vick murdered dogs for a disgusting and sadistic sport. Anyone that defends it is likely a teenager trying to be cool.

And just because it's your opinion, doesn't always mean that it's not completely ridiculous.

I don't think he defended Vick's actions. I think he defended the notion that Vick has paid his debt to society and now deserves a 2nd chance to pursue his career and life - something that certain groups, such as PETA, didn't want. They wanted Michael Vick's entire life to be thrown away.

I don't know anybody who ever defended Vick's actions. But the punishment that people wanted to hand down on him was absurd.

As far as killing dogs for "sadistic" sport - what about people who go hunting and kill birds and deer and other animals for sport? What about people who go fishing, and not only harm and kill the fish, but what about the worms who's last moments of existence are with a hook shoved through it's entire body, and left dangling in water as fish come up and eat chunks of it's body? Why is that stuff allowed? Cuz it's fish, and deer, and birds, and worms, instead of dogs?

But... isn't that the point of PETA? That animals, and the lives of animals, are just as valuable as human life?

Or... is it just certain animals who deserve that treatment? And if it's only certain animals that demand that treatment, and some animals are more valued than others, then why is any animal even given the same value as a human to begin with?

I am not defending the actions of animal cruelty. I am an animal lover myself, and I was disgusted by Michael Vick's actions. But he paid his debt to society, and he deserves a second chance.

I'm not defending the actions of this kid, but seriously, this reaction against him is way overboard. He hung a dog by it's coat from a clothesline. Does it suck? Absolutely. He should be punished. But to never have a dog again, and all this other **** people are making a fuss over, because he made an idiotic teenage decision is ridiculous. I guess I shouldn't be allowed to own a dog because when I was 8 I tried to ride my dog like a horse. Afterall, that's animal cruelty because it hurt the dog because the dog wasn't strong enough to support an 8 year old riding it (for the record before people jump on my case, my dog wasn't injured).

It's ridiculous. I mean, all these people who are shouting "animal cruelty" do know that a dog being carried by it's coat is something natural anyways, right?
