Canadian bacon is actually, like, ham.

Actually it is, definitely, pork loin. Ham comes from the upper leg while Canadian bacon comes from the top of the rib, hence back bacon.

Both of you are right. What Canadians call bacon is technically 'back bacon' or 'peameal bacon' which is often referred to as 'Canadian bacon' in other places. But 'Canadian bacon' can also refer to smoked ham.
