I saw the one with Optimus Prime fighting Godzilla. That one has gotta be real... Right? :(

No, you fool.

The one with Michael Jackson kicking King Kong in the nuts is the real one.

The BvS boards weren't as bad as I thought it could have been. Although, I couldn't keep up since they burned through 10 threads in one weekend.

A busy board is a happy board. :D

LibreOffice does almost all of that and is free. :p
I'll try to keep that in mind.

That's why most of us stay out of those particular movie sections.
BvS section is the best so far, plenty of the fans there were disappointed by Man of Steel, and are thinking positive of the upcoming spinoff/sequel.

Fantastic Four collects the angry nerds.

Slow start to the day. I only have 7 products right now but 3 customers. Need a big couple hours here to close out the day

Hey guys, OriginalMiles and I had a little talk about the Turkish Captain America movie, and I came up with a story on a whim.

Heard of 3 DEV ADAM?
Spider-Aziz said:
3 Giant Men?
Yeah
Spiders are evil

OriginalMiles said:
Amazing movie.

Spider-Aziz said:
You like it?

OriginalMiles said:
I hope to see it recreated in the MCU someday.

Spider-Aziz said:
It will be part of Civil War
Spidey on the side of Evil Tony
And Cap has the obligation to stop them
The movie ends with Spidey making a mouse find his way through Tony's face
NOM NOM NOM NOM
And then the Ultimate final battle between Spidey and Cap ensues
But Spidey breaks Cap's back
And after that, Spidey feels he lost the need to be evil, he loses interest
Cause his arch nemesis falls down
Dies from the broken back
And the tossed shield not hitting Spidey's head
Cause Spidey-Sense
Spidey uses the chance to let the ricochet shield cut Cap's neck
Spidey does plastic surgery now that he lost interest in fighting superheroes
And he ends up looking like Dylan O'Brien
And takes up acting
Signs up for the Maze Runner trilogy
And Thanos tries to conquer the world in infinity war
But cap's shield continues the ricochet
It hits Thanos teeth, and his jaw drops
The infinity gems and gauntlet turn to dust
And the shield is now motionless on the corpse of Thanos.
Story ends, Spidey saves the Universe without him knowing
And he thinks of the heroes as a bunch of show off phonies
Feels bad for the death of Cap and Tony
Then remembers the chaos they caused, but not his part
And he says "On second thought, the world best forget them"
In that duration he doesn't think one bit of his Aunt May missing him
Cause she died months before Civil War
After he poisoned her with a blood transfusion
His radioactive blood killed her real fast
And she was a frail 89 years old woman
She couldn't hold the pain long enough to be a golden oldie
A Spider-Woman on life support
Calling herself Madame Web

Just want to drop this here... My father came to the mainland as a child from Puerto Rico as a kid not speaking English. He said that he was really helped by reading Marvel and DC comics in mastering the language through them. My mom was big on the early Marvel comics, her faves being Spidey, Thor and the SIlver Surfer in FF. She was an original Trekkie from back when TOS was first run. This is just to give you all a background that my nerd roots run deep. So... Today I called my mother and grandma to let them know about my good luck in seeing the IMAX trailer for Batman V Superman and getting to then also see (with luck) the film itself a week early for free. So I tell mom and she says, "Hey, grandma has something she wants to talk to you about too". Okay. Turns out, my grandmother, born in 1932, before TV and many other pop culture phenomenons that we take for granted, has through my aunt a Netflix subscription... AND SHE LOVES DAREDEVIL! SHe watched the whole series in like three days.

This is my family people. Granted, my grandmother was also the person that took me at around three years of age to see the Donner Superman film in 1979. Still... How awesome is that? That a person in their 80's can enjoy something those of us much younger are so passionate about for a lot of the same reasons we like it for?

Of course I am terribly jealous because I still haven't seen it. Ha.

Saw this dumb chick on Bookface posting a message about if you didn't presonally know her than don't message her. Um, how about you don't go around accepting every friend request from random people you don't know and then you won't have this problem? haha

I don't know about all that, but pass on to Miles that he's missed in these parts and his banning was a miscarriage of justice.

My new Avengers vs X-Men trucker cap. Picked it up with Amazon Prime for $10

I mean, I can understand how she'd like Donner Superman, but the fact that she likes the gritty Frank Miller-esq Daredevil show is pretty damned awesome!

I'm awake half-working on grad school homework, half slacking off here and elsewhere. Anyone else?

Your father sounds like he was awesome, and it's really cool how you honor his memory with your signature, Krypton.

What an enchanting story.

I disagree. I totally know where she's coming from. I don't like getting friend requests from some random dude I wasn't even friends with from my second grade class. And sometimes they send passive-aggressive messages when you don't accept. Whenever I see someone with more than 1,000 friends, it reminds me of this guy….

@Krypton: What're your thoughts on the trailer?

Well... Let me preface this with stating that I am a HUGE Superman fan, that I collected the books for a long time, that my first film was Superman: The Movie... In spite of all of that... I LOVED Man Of Steel. Really felt it was a home run and don't get the hate. Hell, in the theater I knew that the film was going to divide people as I watched it. But I had no idea that it would be AS divisive as it's been among hardcore fans and some critics (the actual general audience is another story. Look up THE AUDIENCE SCORES, not the critics.) and would taint so many people's views on what should be a momentous occasion for the world of super hero fans. I think, for myself, MOS was the Superman film I didn't even know I wanted or thought was possible. We're there choices I disagreed with or things I would have changed if I some how had been in charge? Damn straight. But that doesn't take away from my deep enjoyment of the film and the excitement that it is the cornerstone of the upcoming shared DC COMICS CINEMATIC UNIVERSE.

So, with that out of the way... The trailer for BvS has me very excited for the film's release, which I already was but it took it to another level. It feels like, at least from what can be gleaned from the teaser, a natural progression from where we left off in MOS. The opening dialog portion confirms this and would appear to tackle threads from the previous film which seemed to enrage fans so much, head on. How do we react to an other worldly, seemingly supernatural Titan in the form of a man like this character? How does he react to our reaction? What is the continuing evolution for Superman now that he has decided to openly use his powers and take on the responsibilities that they force on him? What lessons must he perhaps learn about his limitations, self imposed or practical, on his actions? I find that just thinking about such story concepts makes me happy. Add in a continuation of the textured visual style of Snyder and the further expansion of the absolutely necessary elements of the mythos such as the inclusion of Lex Luthor into the mix and... Yeah. This all sounds very intriguing with great entertainment potential for somebody like me.

But wait... THERE'S MORE! I also get a new, perhaps more closer to the comic book version of the character Batman. Ben affleck certainly looks the part and seeing him out of the costume as Bruce, his face awash in perhaps a frustrated rage lets me think that Batman will be well handled. The first look of him in costume in motion was pretty breathtaking.

In terms of judging the trailer away from pure fan stuff, I liked that it wasn't a trailer about just money shots and SFX. It seemed to be about conveying theme and character. Which for a first trailer is smart for this sort of film. Wow me later with giant spectacle. Save that for later trailers. This one set the table well and made me long for these next 11 months to fly by. There is certainly enough material to fuel speculation for quite some time.

So... Yeah... I guess you could say I liked it.

Would you believe me if I told you that back in the 80's my grandmother would get me ready for school in the mornings, so like between 6am-7:30am. That's when ROBOTECH used to come on. We both watched it and she really got into it. She appreciated the soap opera aspects I think cuz back then she loved her afternoon "stories" like ONE LIFE TO LIVE and ALL MY CHILDREN. She and my mom both have always enjoyed the genre stuff I was into and still do more or less. Hell, my grandmother LOVES GAME OF THRONES. She calls Dinklage her "little man", to the point that my mom got her a Tyrion action figure.

Like I said... My nerd roots run deep.
