It's Kryptins fault for making the chicken joke. :o

All this bacon & chicken talk has made me hungry!!!

In Hannibal season 3, they should have Hannibal say that he wants to try a slice of Kevin Bacon.

I'm currently listening to John Williams' theme of Superman & it's just timeless & just EPIC, what a masterful stroke of genius it is.

I just enjoyed the lunch of a pb & j sandwich and juice, while sitting on a park bench. I feel both old and very young.

To fully immerse yourself in that experience, you should have packed it in those old aluminum, embossed, lunchboxes from the 1970's or 1980's complete with thermos. :o

I remember when PB&J was looked down on in early gradeschool... foolish kids we were.

and learn to roll your own sushi... its good and all but makes you gain a whole other level of appreciation for the restaurants :funny:

Wow my house sucks now. The landlady moved her friend in to the room right next to mine and now we another 2 year old that's loud as f*** all the time and a freaking baby. This is not cool. Plus now I have to share my damn bathroom with her and she takes a shower when I need to in the morning. I already said something about the shower. Crazy how fast things change. Need to get my own pad

Maybe you should tell her you need the bathroom that early.

Or just join her in the bathroom. :o

You still could.

Jeez DJ I'm just trying to help. :p

I've talked with her a bit, she is kind of cute. I may holla at her. The downside though is she has 2 kids and I'm not really trying to get all up into parenthood. Trying to do the friends with benefits with a roommate usually ends in disaster though

^This is what's really behind the fight in Batman V Superman. :sly:

So... I am watching the documentary that Denise Crosby did WAY back called TREKKIES about Star Trek fans. I had never seen it, oddly enough. I am not sure how I feel about those kinds of fans, not least of which is... I am not too far removed, or at least, I think there was a part of my life where I wasn't too far removed. I don't ever want to judge too harshly. As anyone that's read my posts know, I can go toe to toe with the best of them when it comes to knowledge and passion about a lot of things considered nerd/geek culture. I collected comics with a great passion and I love Star Wars/Trek and many other things. But... I don't know... I don't own anything really all that commemorative or collectible in nature. Even my comic book collection was eaten by ants years back. I don't have any costumes I dress up in... Hell, I don't even have any T shirts anymore. And nothing against people that do... But I don't know... Turning your place of work into a Star Trek themed place? Showing up to jury duty in your Star Trek uniform? I don't want to be harsh, but that sort of thing always makes me pause, regardless of the fandom, Trek, SW, HARRY POTTER, Super Heroes...

On the other hand I can hear my mother's voice saying, "Eh... It could be worse. It could be drugs, alcohol or loose women those people are obsessed with. They ain't hurting anybody."

I guess I just have always been passionate about this stuff, I mean I worked in a comic book shop once upon a time... but there's a limit I have. Some aspects of fandom just seem... Infantilizing? Sorry, I just can't help but feel that way. And yes... This is coming from someone that waited on line to see the IMAX BVS event. Still... As I always say, name your dog Kirk or Spock, but don't name your child Kirk or Spock. I think that there is depth to super heroes and fantasy stuff. I think that they can affect your life in profound ways, and that these types of stories and characters have always been around. Star Trek helped in some ways to usher in the modern world we live in by sparking the imagination of so many to go out and explore so many differing fields of science and the world has reaped the benefits. The same can be said for comic book super heroes... And yet I am also aware that, ya'know... It's also all made up BS, a simple fact I think lost on us far too often.

I was draining some pasta and boiling hot water ran down the side right on to my belly, no bueno

My nephew told me that kids don't bully each other in school anymore. Now I highly doubt there is no bullying ever in the school he attends.

Well they started those PSA's about bullying a few years ago so I'm sure that completely eradicated the problem in America :o

Now they just need to take care of the guns. :o
