The Incredible Hulk CGI Thread

Well, they're having Lou Ferrigno provide a "Hulk smash" line. So I guess they understand well enough what people were looking for last time around.

Just the reaction that the 'Come on' line from Abomination is getting should tell the tale.

The Abomination is from the comics, Betty being a scientist hails from the UPN cartoon, the idea of "weaponizing" steel plates is from Ultimate Destruction, the origin screams Ultimate Hulk, and the "fugitive on the run" idea comes from the TV show. So I'd say this movie is a huge amalgram of everything that's come before.

Betty being a scientist actually hails from the '82 cartoon. That wasn't the case for the '96 UPN cartoon. It seems to be something that works since it has been a part of the movies.

I agree. That is one aspect that works better and seems to be slowly being absorbed into the hulk Mythos.

I'm so damn psyched and I'm trying to get other people around me amped as well. It's a lot easier now that the TV spots are out and they can see how impressive the final product will be.
I'm going to make a prediction and say that this movie is going to be Master of Ceremonies at an ass kicking party....or , you know what I mean.

I really don't understand what the folks at Marvel don't get about Hulk speaking. No matter which Hulk it is, his unique attitude and view of the world is what makes him different from the crowd and what most of us Hulk fans enjoy about the character. You lose a great majority of characterization and excitement with a non speaking.

I agree, but in fairness to Marvel they didn't have a lot of (if any) say in the matter with the TV Show and the 03 Hulk, having sold off the rights at that time.

Now that Marvel do hold the reins though, there is no excuse for them to go and get their own character wrong (especially after having nailed Iron Man).

Re: Ferrigno doing the voice. I'm not sure how much faith we should put in that: That exchange between LL and Ferrigno sounded like they might have been joking about rather than a confirmation.

I was under the impression that they we're joking around about Lou doing the voice as well.

As for Marvel getting their own character wrong, well, right now they are not racking up points with fans in the comics as far as basic continuity goes. One More Day, Skrull-fest, Red Hulk, ect.

Anyway, the main problem I have is the animation. That's always the problem with CGI.

Also this looks just ****ing HORRIBLE. It just looks completely wrong and fake.

u are very right people are entitled to their opinins, but what about when the opinions border on trolling!!! surely this is different. Too many people hate on these threads and then defend it with the old chestnut "but i'm entitled to my opinion". I feel its becomes obvious who has an opinion and who trolls after a while imho.

That shot is a motion shot, so the level of detail will not be as detailed as the others, or noticeable when you see it in action!

Plus they've reduced the glow of his eyes, which made his face in the first pic seem unrealistic.

I'd say there is a nice improvement in this scene.

Seems they've added some sweat effects atleast. Although it might look more cartoonish due to the brighter green and glowing eyes.
