Guys, that design is for Spider-Man 4. It's the Rhino.

Durrr.

I'll bet thats the cloverfield monster or at least the things that drop off the huge monster or mutated humans because of the monster. The things are reported to have only 3 claws which that does. They reportedly come outta NY harbor so it's possible they could be turtles.

It's a cool looking monster, whatever it is.

Well recently didn't he say that it would have the repitilian/scaly look?

Wizard interviews Louis Leterrier said:

Will the Abomination have those crazy ears like in the comic?

LETERRIER: Yeah, we are keeping the ears. We’re making them a little different [though]. Actually, when I was hired, I came to Marvel with my own take, a more modern take, on the monster. There was something reptilian about the original Abomination that didn’t make sense. There was no reptile mix in his origin, so I just changed it and made it like the “über-human.” It’s a human that was injected in the wrong places with something, and these places are growing differently. It still has the general shape of the Abomination, but there’s something realistic that I wanted to put in it.

There WAS reptilian mix on Ang Hulk's and it made no sense as well.

i like how the Abomination looks in the comics i dont care if reptillian doesnt make sense, the fact a man turns into that thing doesnt make sense so who cares what he looks like, heck they could just throw a reptile into the mix and there you go. seriously if Abomination doesnt look anything like the one from the comics i'll be pissed, he became my fav Hulk villain orginally just because he looked awesome

There's and old scientific phrase that goes something like "ontogeny reciprocates phylogeny." For those unfamiliar with that, it simply means that during pregnancy the development of the human fetus goes through all of the stages of human evolution: single cell to multi-cell to fish to amphibian to reptile to bird to mammal to human. Whether you believe in creationism or evolution for the sake of argument you have to admit it makes for a prefect "out" to explain the appearance of the Abomination: His mental faculties had remained intact, however the Gamma blast had so altered his genetic code that his physical appearance reverted / devolved back towards something reptilian.

Why couldn't they have simply used that and moved on? Argh!!

That's OK, I've suspected all along that they were going to re-design Abomination....As long as it's cool-looking, and not too much of a departure from the classic look - big ears, two toes, etc. - I'll be all right with an update.

Hmmmmmmm Could this be the Hulk design for the movie? Thanks to HulkSmash of Hulkmovie.com for the pix.

i was wrong before, these designs are from this http://www.marvelkids.com/ which will apparently have the Hulk in it soon as well. Same animators as Ultimate Alliance though so i was semi-right lol

You can REALLY file it under "unconfirmed bull", but someone told me that this monster, that MovieWeb said was the Cloverfield One (debunked), is actually a very early concept sculp of Abomination (still to be debunked, I guess we have to wait for the DVD release to find out, of eventually the truth will appear) and won't be the one that will be on the movie.

That design shoudn't be in any movie,it's that terrible.

Seems everything is heading towards a hulk victory though not throuth strength, ie getting stronger more powerful. Letterier seems to express them being the same and that abom could kill hulk etc. though these are possibilities they bare no resemblance to the comice where hulk gets angrier and smashes abom to bits. I think a lot of hulk fans will be disapointed with how this movie ends. If you dont have hulk getting stronger then in my opinion its not the hulk as thats his main power.

Once again Tough....you don't know this 100%, just as I don't know 100% that Hulk will completely destroy Abomb. You're going by what you've heard just as most of us have. If you are indeed correct, then that ending sucks. But if you're not correct, then we will get the ending that we all liked and the one they SHOULD use that was in the draft.

At base level Abomy is stronger than the Hulk. This is from the comic. However, Amoby doesn't get any stronger whereas the Hulk does and does. LL knows what he's doing.

Ideally, if they really want to please and respect the comic fans, the Hulk should be given a thorough beating by Abomination....Initially.

Then, when all hope seems lost, Abom doesn't finish Hulk off but does something stupid (like threatening Betty perhaps) and the Hulk goes ape-sh#t and we get some variation of the classic "The Madder Hulk gets, the Stronger Hulk gets!!" line.

Btw- originally in the comics the Abomination was meant to be a good deal stronger than the Hulk and did beat him in their first fight, but later Banner drained off some of Abom's gamma radiation and though still stronger than a calm Hulk, he was no match for a very p#ssed off one.

They later expanded/revised on this by having Abomination restored to full strength and the Hulk still beat him after getting mad enough (the idea being that the Hulk had progressively gotten stronger than his earlier levels down the years).

...and the villian has to at least be a potential theat for the hero. That's called drama. How exciting would it be otherwise?

Oh I agree you need drama, and charactr wise abom should knock hulk about at the beginning, as literally hundreds of characters can , however his main power is his limititless strength ( something often ignored by many writers) and that should put him ahead in any brawl. Im just unhappy that it seems that the ending where hulk cannot rely on his strength to win that ive haerd of is becoming a reality. I dislike that

Wow, I don't like the sounds of that, either (IF it's true, of course).

Don't get me wrong, I think it's fascinating to take a character with unlimited strength and put him in a situation where he is powerless to help (a la the issue where his friend Jim Wilson died of AIDS)...but not for the ending of HIS movie, where you're trying to establish the hero in a strong light, hopefully setting him up for a future franchise.

At the end of the movie, America should be awestruck at the Hulk's strength; where they think that there is truly nothing the Hulk cannot do because of his in-credible power....
...not thinking, "Well, his strength meant jack-crap at the end of the movie".

I totally agree!

I can't judge the end of the movie till I see it. I do hope that his strength wins the battle and not his mind or whatever. At least not in the first movie.

Its his strength, period. I wont tell you how. He doesn't out think Abomb.

I got it from another forum.

I have no idea where it's from.
