So Apple has up a version of the trailer now. It's the same trailer but it does look like there has been a little more post-processing work done. The colors look a lot better. Here is a comparison of the old trailer and the new one at Apple. Old one on the left, new one from Apple on the right.

Also, here is that pic comparing what some guy assured us would be the final color versus what I was able to determine from actual color samples where there were no orange reflections. His on the left, mine on the right.

The Apple version definitely looks better, hopefully that's what we get in the final version of the movie or something even better than that.

Apple version looks good. Much better clarity.

Originally, I didn't have much of a problem with the design of the Abomination (and I'm sure it will do the trick without much detriment), but the more I see it, the less I like it. He just seems comically (read humorously, not comic-book-like) disproportionate. Obviously, some tweaking and exaggeration of the proportions is necessary - a certain outlandishness to the bone structure - but I wonder if they've made a misstep here. The skull-ish, pea head; the exposed ribcage; the huge arms - it all seems a bit incoherent. Likely that sort of jarring disharmony was by design; aesthetically, however, the finished product doesn't quite suit my eye.

Well, to each his own, I still love the design. Btw, would you guys care if we had gotten something like this for the Hulk instead of what we have now?

Lol. You never made any distinctions between what Hulk you were talking about. Your point was that the Hulk has never been drawn as big or bigger than he was shown in the movie in the comics. Obviously you were wrong.

Thanks, that is what I was trying to show.

Answer this: What version of the Hulk from the comics was used in the 2003 film?

Well he wasn't savage Hulk, in looks and personality he was very different, he was a new incarnation and I personally liked it.

Batman Begins, The Crow, TMNT live action, Hulk, Sin City and 300.

You have very good taste in movies :woot:.

I wouldn't have minded, still looks like the HULK to me. But I prefer the one we have now.

Hulk 2003 was actually widely accepted by adults and hated by the younger generation meaning mostly 25 and under. Statistically Hulk is not for kids anymore because all of us Hulk smash folks are grown up and want more than what we have gotten through our child hood which is what Marvel did at that time.

Whoa ho! Someones full of themselves. People over 25 loved Hulk? Recheck those facts. I know plenty of people who love "sophisticated films" as you may want to call them.. but Hulk just doesn't make the cut. You say it's a piece of art, I think it's a snore fest. The plot was anything but interesting.

(Insert Blah Blah Blah)

Films are made by Artists, and movies are made by Business men. Some movies are great, but most are not.

I don't care what you study, you're assumption on film is idiotic. Plain and simple. Artists come in all shape and sizes, though LL may not be as talented or have the credentials and experience of Ang it doesn't disqualify him as an artist. Same goes for the second two Matrix movies. Movies are films, films are movies. If you feel the need to make a pompous accusation based on whether you find something sophisticated enough or not, go ahead. But know that it is pure biased and uneducated opinion.

The Matrix films were planned as a trilogy and chances are they did it the way they envisioned, even if it was sub par compared to the first in your or anyone else's eyes.

There is no reason to compare dramas, to action films. Both are movies in their own right. They have objectives, even if business men green light them for money, that is not why people go to them. They go to see them for entertainment, and despite what you may think they do stand the test of time. The only thing a film like Hulk raised over time was more and more hatred as many tried to block it out.

Your arrogance baffles me. But hey, if we have to get all snobby with each other, I study English. My own pompous request is that you learn to use breaks in between paragraphs, lest I classify you under Stephen King and call you an unsophisticated writer. :whatever:

But I see where you are going, and it looks like the potential for a real, good quality debate is here.

Unfortunately debates bring out the worst in Frostbite when he's passionate on the subject. :oldrazz:

I'd prepare for a Hulk-sized thrown down.

Movies like spider man make huge bucks and pirates of the Caribbean because they are geared to kids. The mistake they made was try to please both audiences by adding cheesy Dog fight and morphing father at the end. Those two scenes could have been replace with more Hulk time. Any of the people who actually love dramatic movies and more fleshed out movie enjoyed the hell out of Hulk 03 and read deeper into the human soul with it. It was more than an action movie attempt it was a good film. Spiderman is very kid friendly as u can see from the original trailer and the green goblin power ranger costume. Not that 2008 will be bad but by the trailer alone you can see the audience. They are desperate to sell something IN the movie and not THE movie as u can see with abomination being shown in the FIRST teaser. They have based the entire movie on THAT. Watch the Hulk 03 trailer and you'll see NO humor because it wasn't meant that way. The new Hulk movie is geared to be marketed as a franchise and not a good movie. batman begins and The original 1989 one were made as films and not franchises as was superman the movie. Those were excellant movies. The new Hulk will be "cool" but not a good film, I promise. I've been following what they were going for and rebooting from ang lee's automatically tells me what they aren't gonna have in it

I too think this new movie wont have the brains or uniqueness of Ang's movie, it has been clear from the start they are marketing and making TIH to appeal to kids a bit more because Marvel want the movie and the character to be a success so they can make many more movies from him. Judging from the script, and other things i have heard/read, i dont think TIH will be a good movie either, and i dont think it will have anything new to offer. I liked the teaser, but after reading tidbits from the script, etc, i just dont think this movie will reach the level that Ang's movie did for me personally.

See, but Jamon, this is a great way to put whether you like the way a film is developing or not. Instead of implying the sophisticated nature or not of films, or saying that people whom are more "mature" or even over a certain age group like Hulk rather than TIH.

Will I say that Hulk was more cerebral than this new one? Definitely. From the start we knew it would be. Which one will be a better movie for me is yet to be seen.

If I don't like it, well then maybe the next time they reboot Hulk it'll work for me. :oldrazz:

Wrong wrong wrong. Mr. Psychic Consultant, films and movies are made by artist and produced by businessmen. The guy behind the lens is the artist. The guy with the money (producer) is the businessman.

It’s funny that you would say something so easily torn apart. You try to come off all high and mighty and then make a huge blunder saying, it’s a mistake to re-boot from Ang’s movie. What? No one would put up the money to make a sequel to it Period It wasn't until they said we’re going to reboot it like Ang’s movie never happened that businessmen came out and said "Tell me more"

When you were consulting your Ouija board was it more that you weren't going to like those movie or that they would not do well at the BO?
Allow us to test you if we may Mr. Unenlightened. Tell us this, how will Iron Man do at the BO? It's simple. good or bad. You're the Soothsayer, so why don't you take out the o'l crystal ball and see what it has to say. Can ya do it Mr. Prognosticator? Tick tock

I'm glad you added this at the end of your post Jamon. It should that you're at least thinking. Ang's Hulk was not for everyone. Those that loved it, good for you for liking what you like. One thing is sure, it was not a good movie for the Hulk.

False.

Oh CJ, what a good post.

I hate it when people say things aren't art because they aren't good to them. A kid can draw a stick figure on a napkin, it's still art. It's still creative and the best the individual could do.

Business men are the only reason the first Hulk got off the ground. They saw the name Hulk and the jade giants name just transformed into dollar signs. They weren't thinking art.

Ang thought art, the writers thought art. And the exact same applies for LL and crew. There is a reason Ed wanted to rewrite it. Besides dabbing his fingers into the script, he didn't want it to be a joke.

Whether or not it turns out to be a good or bad movie, it's still art.

Way to raise that post count there Scooter. It's only to bad I didn't think of it. :o

No, we can't. Ever.

Ang's movie, while kinda neat to look at, was not the way to kick off a franchise. You do not tell people you’re going to open up a steak house and serve hotdogs at the grand opening.

:hehe:

Thanks Frosty. I didn't mean to jump in. You are doing a good job. But I just couldn't resist

One persons garbage is another persons art. or something like that. :woot:
