Neither is perfect, obviously. I'd still go with Ang's Hulk though. It was just so nicely animated and looks more realistic. The model was far more realistic looking as far as anatomy and texture is concerned. Unfortunately it also had a big baby head. The face is still much more believable though. And I never had a problem with the bright green, it's how he looks in the comics. The new Hulk just has ridiculous looking musculature that just looks half made up.

Why compare a finished product to an unfinished product.

Wait till June 13, then make a decision.

Making polls that compare finished products to unfinished products which we haven't seen is stupid.

I don't really feel the need to wait to participate in a poll like this. The Hulk model isn't going to change, only possibly the texturing/rendering.

Which to me is half the battle anyway. I am not happy with certain elements and hope they change, but overall the reaction I got from those who have seen the trailer all say "man, that's sick!" and loved the trailer. The are not even talking about the cgi. I would think if the y are tinkering with the rendering and I know they wil, the finished product will be just fine and we can all just enjoy the movie. They will always be those who will complain. That is just the nature of the beast.

I felt that Ang Lee's Hulk's motions made him seem to weigh lot less than he should based on his size, which threw me off.

my thoughts exactly, he moved way to fast sometimes, it looke dlike a godzilla from the 80's or a King movie were the dude under the suit moves to fast...at least this new hulk moves like a BEAST!

I couldn't care less which one looks better, I just want the movie to not suck as much as the first one. I'll probably find out on DVD or buy tickets to another movie and sneak in.

Silly question...

why the tittle of the thread is

"The Ang Lee CGI Hulk was more realistic than the Norton CGI Hulk"

instead of

"The Ang Lee CGI Hulk was more realistic than the Louis Leterrier CGI Hulk"

?

I like the designs for Norton's Hulk better (closer to the comics) but overall, on average the Hulk had better looking CGI in Ang Lee's film than the trailers at least.

Personally, I find the whole comparison - Unjust. It's been what - 5 years since the Ang's version? Comparing the CGI from then and Now... Is just unfair to Ang... There are aspects of course which could be better in both. But remember, We're not talking about making a black suit and have a bat logo on it. We're talking oversized green muso wrestler. Big Difference. Accept what we have and take it. Both are good. Ang's was good for it's day. Norton's is also good for today. In another 5 years, we'll say this one is pure rubbish ;) Technology increase, and so will CGI. So... The past version was great - The modern is just as good. No point comparing the two... You should go embrace and love both of them!

this one is a tough one to me... so i wont vote.

I personally love of course the design of the Incredible HULK he wins on design alone, but you can tell very easily that he's cg... theres no doubt at all.. he's a bit too shiny and something is just off... where as Angs hulk, may have have been a little toooo green, his texture felt very real, his skin looked very real but he didnt look like an aggressive beast. they bot have positives and negatives imo

Everything about the new hulk is better, besides the color. The hulk looks like sick and pale in the newer trailer, I think..

I like it better, helps him blend better into the backgrounds imo and really looks alot better than luminous green.

first one was a good movie, just misdirection at times. Ang Lee did his part, just that script was horridly set up to where we dont even see hulk for a minute

ang lees hulk looked like the stay puff marshmallow man soaked in neon green lime aid.

the new hulk is what i think most of us wanted. and for god sakes already...." the cgi is not 100% done yet !!!!! "

That 100% done stuff is garbage. It's horrible CG and since the people have spoken they had to release some kind of statement to save their hides. The CG is terrible through and through. It is not a smart marketing decision to release a single on radio which is practically the promotion for the album it's attached to and when the beat or lyrics sound horrible or unaudible u say..."it's not finished yet". Lame excuse and I don't care if anyone says it's unfinished. What I see is what I get and what I see is garbage CGI. Until otherwise that's all I have to go by. That's what people said about the plane scene in Iron man or the Cg in spiderman 3 when he hops of the building in black suit and the car for Batman Begins. Unfinished, they're working on it but when all those movies came out the footage was the EXACT same. That is media nonsense to keep the fans at ease with hope for everything that looks like crap in the trailer to look better. Only problem with Ang Lee's was hight and color. The model could have been slightly less fat and more to the new ones body mass but as for the CG work and animation it was top notch for it's time. The entire desert scene was amazing and I truly doubt that the new one will top it. At least Ang's looked like Bana where as The new 2008 does not resemble Norton in the least and I don't wanna hear crap like it's not finished CG cause that can lose audience and terrible marketing advertising non finished work.

Like a Disney movie releasing the pencil work with no color and saying it's just a trailer not finished. Nope!!!!

Hulk isn't meant to look like Banner, Hulk is Hulk.

Hulk isn't meant to look like Banner, Hulk is Hulk.

Hulk is a muscular version of the person. That's all. he doesn't morph or shape shift into a different creature it's just like anyone who gets more muscle has a more defined face but the structure stays the same. He IS banner. His face is meant to resemble and favor the actor or it's stupid cause he doesn't morph into a new human. He's just a muscular man with green skin who's extremely strong. he's not a mo0nster and that is the heart of what Ang Lee captured. he didn't roar like a lion or kink kong he was just a real big dude with a deep voice. That was what I don't think the new version has captured by the looks of the trailer. No matter how big Hulk got in ang's he was still a person and we felt that in the creature the whole time. The new one looks like a monster just like the I am Legend CG where they missed the idea that those are only humans but looked like aliens instead.

No matter who hates Ang's Hulk movie, he did capture the heart of it but a little too much and forgot the other essence of Hulk which IS the action too. Though the desert scene was breath taking the rest of the action was shot very well but not choreographed interestingly enough. Best comic movie action has to go to Blade one and two. Even Batman Begins as great as it is lacked in the choreography of the fights department.

Hulk has never looked like banner in the comic, nor has meant to, when banner changes he literally turns inta a completely different person/creature.

You have completely missed the point of the character
