Ahhh... the perpetual stream of negativity is so charming. And macho too. :whatever:

But keep it up because, as mentioned, Marvel is anxiously waiting for one of you to figure it all out. Design changes to take effect immediately. God speed.

Yes the stream of negativity from Frostbite... the person constantly defending the effects.... the person who thinks the movie looks freaking amazing, and who under X-Files has this as their most anticipated film.....

Your logic = bulletproof.

Well, your last post wasn't so peachy.

Just bored myself I guess. You can carry on if you wish. These conversations just tend to make my head hurt. Get tired of reading the same redundant stuff about the '03 Hulk vs. the '08 Hulk over and over and over and... the comparisons seems caught in an endless cycle of regurgitation. When will they ever end???

BH, over and out.

that is technically the title of the thread. so it is sorta the point of the thread.

Meh, loved every minute of it. I am sure Hulk won't do that well (But god I really hope it DOES rake in the money at least it's got a great time slot with little competition,) and critically it will probably fall behind Ang's.

But again, I'll love every minute of it (I can already tell.) :woot:

I've seen Iron Man 3 times, and will probably go see Speed a second since a friend wants to go. I need to watch how much I am spending on these summer flicks! :wow:

Speed Racer is actually my fav movie of the year so far...Ironman a close secoond just cause we really didn't see much Iron man and as crazy as I am to sound while saying this is that Speed Racer had a GREAT underlying message and way deeper retrospective on the idea of what Art is and what it isn't. The Wachowski had their philosophy all over the movie and that is significant in all movies to me. Ironman I loved too, but I didn't like the whole, Americans good vs Evil Arabs. In this whole ordeal to the rest of the world, USA are actually the bad guys and tho Ironman plays on that a lil it really kept it on a small scale. Dealing with military and terrorists woulda been cool to have a play on our stupid president or yound soldiers dying for nothing. Woulda been great to add that in. Anyway it is what it is and no one get on my case on Iron man, I just like deep message movies.

Looks better than this...

HELL NO!!!!! What are you on. 03 is FAAAAAR superior

far more superior in looking like a green man not a green monster

p.s. only the face looks better not body.

New Hulk looks like he's on steroids rather than just being an ogre like being and also They are trying to make him look just like the comic books which would tell us that Superman and Batman should be played by Bodybuilders since we going for the whole comic book thing. Anyway Ang's Hulk just fit this world and style he was doing and rarely made me cringe at the CG if ever while the new one is just yuk to me. I just frowned. Even my mom acknowledged the difference and asked me what all those lines on his chest are looking like old man skin

I don't really see the problem with the middle eastern terrorists. It's the time we're in and he's a weapons dealer to the US army... what else would they be using them on?

Speed and Iron Man had relatively the same message of greed, and corruption but from two separate stand points. One was the whole "little man rising to the top" and the other was "big man on top finds a heart of gold."

I think dragging a political message such as our president or troops "dying for nothing" would be terrible in that it would completely ruin the movie. It would also take focus off of Starks growth as a character. Besides, once you put things like politics or religion into something people start to get touchy.

I do understand but in that argument how did all the Arabs who watched it feel just like every time USA is beefing with a country they use them as the bad guys. That is so naive and evil to do which enables children to have a stereotype about people. I hated russians because of Rambo three, and always looked as the vietcong as the bad guys where as we get older we see how ridiculous those notians are since USA is mostly always the invader. Ironman didn't play on that but went the simple point the finger route which if I was Arab I'd have been highly offended by the stereotyping. Taliban or any Terrorist/Freedom fighter are NEVER out to build armies to rule the world. They just want independence and in most case USA to stick their nose into their own business and stop occupying their countries. That is a stupid plot for the Arabs to be such mindless bafoons who just want to rule the world. Their fight is deeper and more meaningful than that. Hitler maybe, but not Taliban or the middle eastern freedom fighter/terrorists. At least get their culture right.

Well, regardless, I've been defending it throughout this entire conversation with these good critics. :woot: And seeing as this is essentially a thread for them to compare and contrast they are allowed to complain if need be. Just as I will then quote them and debate further.

They won't end, until TIH 2, or our second Hulk reboot, in which case, they will spark up in a magnificent blaze where everyone complains about 03, 08, and .... 2013 Hulks.

Hate to tell you, most terrorists... are mindless bafoon's. They are a perversion of everything their countries / religions stood for. They are power hungry megalomaniacs.

Whether it was right to go in or not, is not in question of the movie. As it revolves around Stark,
and in the beginning Stark was completely fine with it as note "Right, peace, with peace I'd be out of a job!" and soon changed heart.

Really though, if anyone gets stereotypes, they've already gotten them from the news, not from Iron Man. Truly if a child gets a stereotype from any media it is the parents duty to tell them otherwise.

Christ, I didn't even think of stereotypes as a child until I got older and heard teens talking about them. Despite that some were right in front of my face for years I never noticed.

People create stereotypes, not media. And really now, if any person of Arab descent took offense, then they need their head examined. It's like saying "It's okay to portray and white american as the bad guy! But not an Arab person!" Which in turn creates even further diversity in peoples minds which , again, in turn creates this whole race problem in the first place.

Remember that this country was also founded by terrorists who betrayed their empire and commited major acts of treason against their King. You look at them as Freedom Fighters. We AFRICANS and NATIVES and BRITISH look at them as terrorists and POWER HUNGRY MEGALOMANIACS.

I have Iraqian friends, who beleive Bush is woorse than Sadam ever could be, and know many Fidel Castro supporters (well at least his initial cause)...and honestly I agree with them.

Ever watched V for Vendetta? What you think of that character? A mindless bafoon? He too was a Terrorist...

I don't think of everyone who is a terrorist as a mindless bafoon I said MOST are, and indeed the ones over there... are. I don't agree with Bush, I don't agree with going in, I certainly don't think he's evil, just incredibly stupid. But I do agree that those terrorists =/= anything like a freedom fighter, or an early Fidel Castro whom help liberate his country (to ironically become it's next dictator.)

By the way, our founders didn't use fear tactics... they were not terrorists. They were completely out-numbered and were begging other countries for support for a separation. They were committing treason, not terrorists... big big difference. (Though they were sort terrorists in the beginning, with their acts against British soldiers... but those were more the civilians with the government turning a blind eye.)

You are dragging politics, where politics do not need be.

I think you missed the stop to get off in the Political forum. There is no place for your world views here in the Hulk CGI thread. Oil and water.

Ask the Native Americans and the Africans who were their slaves if they weren't using fear tactics

Perfect post.

It's really difficult to find this kind of objectivity around here.

Kudos for you.

Great post and so true. By the way, the adjective is just Iraqi.

Okay, I'd love to flaunt my history some more. You mentioned the British along with them...

Oh dear me... we enslaved them before separation. Meaning citizens of British colonies enslaved them! :wow: Many founding fathers apposed slavery *Cough! John Adams! Cough! Thomas Jefferson! Cough!* But around their time it was nearly standard by then. (Hence why ol' Thomas was hypocritical in owning them.)

And yet they found it was to touchy of an issue seeing as they could barely get the continental congress to listen to them to separate in the first place.... OHHHHHHH Who knows their history!!?!?!?

Can I get a WOOT WOOT!!! Can I get a UH UH!!! -Raises the Roof-

Moral of the story, if you want to blame anyone on the subject of slavery, blame the British citizens who came over to found the colonies. THEN after separation you can blame the American people for letting profit (i.e. using blacks on plantations) blind them on the subject of morality, and THEN lastly (but more importantly) blame the congress of the new found country for holding in their safety zones. If they did not want to separate when their own people were being oppressed, they certainly weren't going to care about the people who were already enslaved.

History books have skewed it to state things like we couldn't wait to separate! On the contrary they couldn't give two flying flicks about their own people, only a smaller percentage of the founding fathers had any intention of separation despite the oppression of their own people.

OH MAN! I just... oo... oh my... the knowledge it's... it's .....power. :oldrazz:

Things are rarely black and white, I realize. But I am not going to say I believe the middle eastern terrorists of today have any redeeming qualities to them. I am quite sure when we find out we need to leave, and we do, the country will fall apart. (Which is why we should have never gone in.)

When it does fall apart those terrorists that we spent way to much fighting (seeing as it's guerrilla tactics and there is no single army so there really is no way to win) will rush in, and seize power for their own, and most undoubtedly not for the people of Iraq's benefit.

Edit: But yes, I suppose we should probably drop it, this IS a Hulk forum. If you feel like continuing any time, my AIM / Yahoo is over under my name <--

Exactly.

Let's get the cross and nails, you perennial pessimist!
But when you consider the source, the reference to machismo takes the cake.

Keep your chin up, 'Bite. Keep fighting that good fight.

*looks at watch and waits for inevitable jihadesque reply by you know who*
