that is technically the title of the thread. so it is sorta the point of the thread.

Yeah, I know... and we've gotten totally off of it. But my point is I'm sick of reading the same redundant arguments over and over and over... as if you guys are ever going to solve anything. I guess you've had to be around for a while to know that the same arguments are being regurgitated endlessly, and I just don't see the point. Again, the people such as yourself taking part in the discussion - throwing video games into the fray, no less (as if that somehow raises the IQ of the discussion) - aren't going to solve anything anytime soon. And I seriously doubt Marvel Studios is really listening, as I've joked, so you're really only humoring yourselves with all of your supposed 'wisdom' on the subject.

Exactly.

Let's get the cross and nails, you perennial pessimist!

But when you consider the source, the reference to machismo takes the cake.

Keep your chin up, 'Bite. Keep fighting that good fight.

*looks at watch and waits for inevitable jihadesque reply by you know who*

ArtTeacher, you can say what you what. Not that it should serve as a newsflash, but I got over you a while ago.

Ah... 515--..... I mean... ArtTeacher, I really need to get myself over to the Hulk Movie Boards, if only it would work for me. :csad: The hype really likes to fight whether it be CG, or semantics when it comes to politics and war. Do to the over flow of testosterone that pumps in my veins, I feel the need to join in and just beat my point like a frustrated white trash mother beats her child in walmart....

Hulk Movie forums are much more tame.

Okay, I'd love to flaunt my history some more. You mentioned the British along with them...

Oh dear me... we enslaved them before separation. Meaning citizens of British colonies enslaved them! :wow: Many founding fathers apposed slavery *Cough! John Adams! Cough! Thomas Jefferson! Cough!* But around their time it was nearly standard by then. (Hence why ol' Thomas was hypocritical in owning them.)

And yet they found it was to touchy of an issue seeing as they could barely get the continental congress to listen to them to separate in the first place.... OHHHHHHH Who knows their history!!?!?!?

Can I get a WOOT WOOT!!! Can I get a UH UH!!! -Raises the Roof-

Moral of the story, if you want to blame anyone on the subject of slavery, blame the British citizens who came over to found the colonies. THEN after separation you can blame the American people for letting profit (i.e. using blacks on plantations) blind them on the subject of morality, and THEN lastly (but more importantly) blame the congress of the new found country for holding in their safety zones. If they did not want to separate when their own people were being oppressed, they certainly weren't going to care about the people who were already enslaved.

History books have skewed it to state things like we couldn't wait to separate! On the contrary they couldn't give two flying flicks about their own people, only a smaller percentage of the founding fathers had any intention of separation despite the oppression of their own people.

OH MAN! I just... oo... oh my... the knowledge it's... it's .....power. :oldrazz:

Things are rarely black and white, I realize. But I am not going to say I believe the middle eastern terrorists of today have any redeeming qualities to them. I am quite sure when we find out we need to leave, and we do, the country will fall apart. (Which is why we should have never gone in.)

When it does fall apart those terrorists that we spent way to much fighting (seeing as it's guerrilla tactics and there is no single army so there really is no way to win) will rush in, and seize power for their own, and most undoubtedly not for the people of Iraq's benefit.

Edit: But yes, I suppose we should probably drop it, this IS a Hulk forum. If you feel like continuing any time, my AIM / Yahoo is over under my name <--

You sort of nitpicked his part of the post where he was more or less mistaken, and disregarded what his initial message was, that the country you presumably live in was funded by terrorist, and that despite the general portrayal of arab terrorist as bumbling idiots, they were smart enough to hijack a few planes and run them into very significant places, in the most advanced and militarized country in the world.

I saw this clip a while ago, never watched the whole thing, this seems to sum it up good, but the portrayal of arabs in Iron Man reminded me of it...

Anyways, as for the topic at hand in this thread, its simply ****ing ridiculous that we've gotten to almost 40 pages comparing an unfinished product to a finished one.

ArtTeacher, you can say what you what.

What I what?

Okay I what.

What?

The resident grammarian and spell checker makes a mistake?
Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes...
The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together...mass hysteria!

Guys, look! A topic! Please hop back on :)

What? And ignore the fact that Bannerless Hulk just assumed I was talking about him and then admitted to having a crush on me at one point (that he is now, clearly, over)?

Well, ok.

Twist my arm.

To get back on topic, yes, Ang Lee's Hulk looked more like a real...man...that is green. LL's Hulk looks more like the Hulk.

From what I've seen so far, I gotta go with Ang's version.

Again, it wasn't funded by terrorists (and in the beginning need I remind you we barely funded ourselves, most European countries were actually helping out the Americans to break away.) They were breaking away from those who already gave them permission to enslave. Then as I said our government was to afraid to help its own country in the beginning (despite what our text books say) let alone help slaves. It's not that the ideas weren't there it's that the congress didn't have the stones to do anything right....(Actually that part hasn't really changed over the years.) But hey, Jefferson tried at least. :/

I am not calling them bumbling idiots for their level of intelligence. I am calling them bumbling idiots for their intentions. Unlike our congress now, which I call, again, bumbling idiots for their level of intelligence... as if common sense escapes them.

When I call a terrorist stupid I don't mean like in Iron Man where they are sitting there going "Oh... well that doesn't look like a rocket..." "No! Your wrong of course it does it's just backwards!" I came in calling them ignorant for their beliefs (not their religion) but their intention to force their way of life, which I don't just mean a dictator based ruler much like our idiot president wants to force democracy... I mean they want each person who does not act like them dead.

Please don't insult my intelligence, of course I know better, if they were really stupid on an IQ level they certainly wouldn't be participating in guerrilla combat so successfully.

I wasn't nitpicking I addressed what he said about us being terrorists for slavery, saying (once again, and let me stress this) that if the congress wasn't going to help their fellow citizens out they sure weren't going to help slaves that were already taken out.

Edit: Once more, if anyone wants to continue this... the instant messenger screen name is right under my name. I'll happily debate it with you there, but this is a Hulk forum and lets leave politics out of it.

Edit #2: Sorry forgot to address again, he moved away from the prejudice thing long ago and moved it into politics and history. And Sorry my position stands that the movie wasn't vilifying Arabs in the least. In fact, they showed a WHITE MAN turn on them and on his own country. So please if you are really pointing out prejudice because the terrorists were Arab despite the fact that is the time we are in and fits with the character of Tony Stark, than you are simply promoting racial segregation even more saying "Arabs shouldn't EVER be the terrorist villains."

(Oy I just keep adding more) Oh, and just because the henchmen were stupid, had nothing to do with them being Arab, most henchmen are usually stereotypically stupid in movies and easily cast away. To me, the ring leader was incredibly sinister and incredibly smart.
Had the Arabs not been smart in the movie they could have never rebuilt the suit.

Just because you take the reverse stance doesn't mean you aren't promoting racial predjudices. You are giving one group special treatment. If a white man can be the bad guy, so can Hispanics, Asians, blacks, and Arabs.

Wait till you see that in HD.

The CGI is going to amaze you!

The CGI amazed me back at the teaser trailer, then the tailer, and already now! I don't need further convincing but it would sure be nice to see it. :woot:

Indeed, a point I've been stressing and the smartest thing anyones said in this thread in a while :woot:.

ArtTeacher, I would have no problem with your posts if you weren't such a smartass. Posts like ^^^ above that are dripping with sarcasm pretty much leave no choice but to expose you for the fraudulent "good guy" that you'd like everyone to think you are. So I made a single grammatical mistake that I wasn't at the time able to correct, due to having a job to which I needed to tend that pays me to excel in that department otherwise. Can you ever forgive me? If I made light of every grammatical error in the fashion that you just did - raining down "fire and brimstone," to borrow your terminology - then a lot of people would have self-esteem issues and the counseling/social services sector would see a dramatic increase in business. But good thing I don't, eh? Do yourself a favor and don't call me out again, or you'll get burned just as you are now.

What? And ignore the fact that Bannerless Hulk just assumed I was talking about him and then admitted to having a crush on me at one point (that he is now, clearly, over)?

If you weren't talking about me, who was it then? Oh, and you got that second part wrong. I wasn't saying I had a crush on you. No way. Just the thought makes me throw up. Rather, I was saying that I'm over you in the sense that, although you've made yourself my ***** on these boards, I'm just not interested in you in that way. Sorry dude, but I'm straight. :csad::whatever:

BWHAHAHAHAHAHA Ohhhhhhhhh LOL I can hear you saying this in my head. Does that mean...............um.............well..........you know :shock

This thread should be closed!... The title is total horse****! There is no truth to it! Ang Lee's Hulk was 80% crap! The new Hulk is a big improvement, both in it's new look AND CG-wice!

After all the banter and doubting, LL has come through as stated. The team of R&H is putting forth one of the greatest turn arounds I have ever witnessed in the FX dept. From the first teaser to the new TV spots the CGI is "INCREDIBLE"! Whats your opinion? We'd like to know.

In-freaking-credible. I've been known to say time and time again to people "don't expect an improvement" "execs lie all the time" and yet here stands before me in a matter of weeks, a big, noticeable difference.

I'm baffled at how hard R&H's must be working, truly it IS one of the best turn-around stories I've seen. Kudos to them, I liked it before, but now? Love it.

while i never had a problem with the cg from that start, i cant belive how much better it all looks now. those close ups of hulks face were so detailed!! incredible is the word that describes how good this movie is looking. june 12th cannot get here quick enough

I vote "Incredible." To give some weight to that- I consider the last Hulk "good" and something like the effects in Speed Racer "okay."

I always told everyone to keep optimistic and let tem do their thing. This an example of 7 days a week editing and FX tweaking at its best! Notice the ripped shirt added to the roar scene!

I picked Incredible.

I thought it was pretty good before but this is just awesome.

I'd thought the CGI was already good but it has improved drastically now.

Incredible  .... need...bigger...version
