The Incredible Hulk CGI Thread

LL hasn't done anything worthy of an "action" oscar. he did two transporter movies and barely anyone liked those. Hulk will be different, but it hasn't come out yet.

I beg to differ on that my friend.....Unleashed and the very first Transporter were very well done and recieved action movies. Only the 2nd Transporter film was luke warm as far as being reviewed, and even that movie had some very nice action sequences, and I can tell you from already seeing TIH. That the action and more importantly the final Battle scene of TIH. Compared to previous SuperHero Brawls pale in comparison.

For the general moviegoer the final battle between Abom vs Hulk. Is going to be what spreads the positive word of mouth. From friends, family, and co workers. It took what Superman II did, and Smashed it. That's the only other major in the public, civilian casualties battle scene that I can compare it to.

It kicks a$$. You really get the vibe that Liv is acting to an 8 ft. wet green monster who is trying to protect her against a Thunderstorm. Pretty much the most "King Kong" part of the film. Alot of eye and facial acting.

That was one of the best overall scenes of the entire movie in my opinion. From the character development and interaction between Betty and the Hulk/Bruce. You really feel that the Hulk is flesh and blood and not just a cgi created character. The score for that scene just adds to the whole scope of it and gives it that King Kong vibe.

I'm trying to read as little as I can about the movie since I'm watching it next Friday. But it's good to hear this. If bits like this work then I'm sold for the rest. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. One other question about that scene, do the hulk's eyes still glow as he's sitting with her? I always felt the glowing eyes would be a bit of a distraction at this point.

Let's face it, the kid in everyone wants to see super battles like the ones we read in comics (I'm thinking the Hulk vs Thing battles as an example etc) up there on the big screen.

You know the ones I mean; Characters being punched through buildings, those same buildings as well cars and trains etc being used as projectiles with huge steel girders being brandished like baseball bats, sidewalks taken out from under the feet of people etc.

Superman II tried it's best to give us that but was severly hampered by the limited sfx constraints at the time.

Nowadays though, CG is moving us closer to seeing the battle that we all crave than ever before - I hope the initial word is true and that TIH is the film to bring us something to cream over.

All the CGI naysayers need to just see the film and be prepared to be amazed (that's right, I'm talking to you Godman). The CGI looks great and they do an amazing job of showing the Hulk's emotion and feelings in just facial expressions. The cave scene stands out along with the end of the battle with the army at the university. good good stuff.

He doesn't grow taller, but the angrier he get, the brighter the "Gamma Fire" burns in his eyes.

Sonic cannons were definitely cool looking and Bruno could not wait til they appeared on the screen.

I just have to say that I am one happy camper after seeing this movie.

Meaning he gets physically stronger the angrier he gets as opposed to adding to his mass?

P.S. I'm frustrated that my mother doesn't want to see this movie because Hulk is CGI. God, I suffered through Indy 4, which has more CGI than Incredible Hulk, for her. She's really going to be missing out on a good movie.

You see him get a bit more massive, I think. Thank god he's not Giant man again, he's the perfect scale in this movie.

From the latest spots Hulk looks to be a little more greener, I though he looked fine colourwise previously. The did the same with Ang Lee's Hulk, and in the end personally I thought it took away from his look being a tad more realistic.

Hopefully, the same doesn't happen here. But if so, then hopefully for the better.

I want to go on record as someone who's been very skeptical about the movie, that I am very excited, because I am loving what I've been seeing lately.
The CGI has been greatly improved and looks good. The action seems to be out of this world, powerful, and most importantly superheroic. Last but not least the acting seems solid.
the only left is the story and I will wait to see it before passing judgement.
so I am 100% on Board for htis movie.

That's a good thing. Bloated Bana isn't needed.
