The Interview- Rogen and Franco Try to Assassinate Kim Jong Un

I can't believe they used a real-life dictator for the movie. They could just have easily assassinated a leader clearly based on Kim Jong-Un and not run the risk of being murdered by some North Korean secret agent.

That's part of the fun though. Controversy often lends itself to the best comedy.

I wouldn't be nearly as interested if they had created a fictional Jong Un.

if Franco and Rogen die in a car crash full of THC in their body and bags of marihuana they got assassinated. Kim is naive enough to think that this would be the best fake story for them. :)

It will be genuinely hilarious if Seth Rogen and James Franco are the cause of World War III. I know I'll laugh. Also, this is the kind of topical, smart, edgy/dangerous comedy I've been yearning for for over 10 years now, since Team America. It's like SNL in the 70's. Superbad and Knocked Up (and everything else lately) haven't given us ANYTHING like this, outside of South Park. I fully expect this to be a movie we're still talking about 20 years from now.

Also, this isn't the first movie to make fun of a current dictator. Team America did it, as did Hot Shots: Part Deux with Saddam Hussein.

Naked Gun did several at once. Leslie Nielsen didn't **** around.

So how would they go about casting Obama? Hiring an African working at one of the African Embassies? Or will they go all 1900's Deep South Minstrel show and have a North Korean actor portray Obama in Black face?

:lmao:

Frankly this movie was probably needed. If you're gonna go edgy, go big or not at all.

I don't think Rogen or Franco needs to spend a single dime on the advertisements...it's doing it all on its own.

You'd think Sacha Baron Cohen would've beaten them to the punch, but after the Dictator.....

Okay, let's start a Kickstarter campaign to get this made.

if the U.N even acknowledges this, I'm done.
