Part II in my hopefully long lasting series of "Conservative" Youtube sensations:

[YT]uGmJLa2kd58[/YT]

I want to be this guy, so badly.

I heard this yesterday on Neal Boortz. I like that this guy has the Balloons to ask our Representatives to defend their words of Rhetoric. Then that lady defending him too.

"Stop Labeling him!"

Good stuff.

Nice.

Didn't know that. I love her accent.

I was repulsed by how quickly Barney Frank tried to turn himself into the victim. This is how our leadership behaves? Kudos to the kid for not backing being intimidated. Put that boy on a ticket!

These are the sort of facts you get when you watch Neil Cavuto

Good for this kid. Someone needs the stones to question these people

Eh, not to stand up for Barney Frank, but this kid didn't really do anything here. You might as well applaud a video of a kid going up to Chris Dodd and saying "You're a jacka**, why are you such a jacka**, ya jacka**?". It's not like Joel tried to bait him into an answer and then pulled out the undeniable proof he was lying, it's not like he backed Barney Frank into a corner, he just called him out...and it was pretty weak. I've seen a lot better from student lectures quite frankly, and speaking out of pure concern for the kid, Joel, man, live it up, go out and get laid...geez you're in college ya' nerd.

That hot chickadee with the accent is his girlfriend. I assume he is "gett'n laid".

I like this, its not often someone stands up and asks politicians to accept responsibility for their actions. If it happened more often, they might actually listen.

Yep, but instead, Frank passive aggressively attacks the kid, and the members of the audience laugh and cheer as he does it. It doesn't matter whether or not you have a valid point and these are questions that need to be answered or if this is our elected official and we have a right to question him. All that matters is the letter next to his name.

It wasn't even a difficult question nor was it an attack on Frank but clearly Frank saw it the other way.

I would applaud that video. Of course I am an a-hole so that's probably to be expected.:woot:

No excuse for Barney to act that way.

Toss him under the bus, I'm not defending this at all. I thought he could have been much more respectful than he was.

Were it some crazy pundit, or conservative politician...find, have at him.

But not a student.

Here is another one, a student wanted to ask Charlie Rangel about his Tax Controversy. Watch Rangels response.

This is what most of the Political Class think about us. Us the everyday person has "no right" to question them.

Well, I'd probably like to see someone call Rush a "fat f***", and I'm certain that happens quite frequently, but it's hardly cause for praise. He didn't really knock Frank down a peg at all. Just an arrogant kid versus an arrogant man. Might as well turn this thread into a Blob versus Juggernaut discussion.

I dunno, I personally hate that ambush style. I just think ambushing someone with a camera, and interview questions is a little unfair, to ask that person keep they're cool.

But, Barney Frank...I mean, c'mon. That was as far away from an ambush interview as anyone can get.

Barney didn't get owned. Far from it, I think.

I just think he looks way too defensive, and petty. He should have gone in easier, when you at how the student is calm and collective.

Just make Barney look bad, b/c Barney is making himself look bad I think. Again, I think he just looks petty and way too defensive. Bringing in the right wing conservative thing, even though I believe in it, seems defensive too. I think most other politicians would have dodged this claymore mind much better than he did.

I agree with CBB re:evaluation of BF video.

RE: Rangel video
While it is deplorable that Rangel could not handle himself with more aplomb, I think the "concerned citizen" is deserving of derision as well. It's fine to call Rangel to account and ask for an explanation, but the manner in which he's done this comes off as more of an abusive ad hominem attack than an earnest request for an explanation.

If I was approached in that manner I'd probably react similarly. But I'm not a US representative who should, I believe, be held to a higher standard than the average citizen.
