Wedding bells for Heath?
From correspondents in Brooklyn

HEATH Ledger and Michelle Williams are getting married, it has been claimed.

The Australian actor was allegedly spotted picking up a marriage licence with his 26-year-old actress fiance - who is the mother of his one-year-old daughter Matilda - in Brooklyn.

The pair met while they were filming gay cowboy film Brokeback Mountain and recently bought a townhouse together in the New York district.

Representatives for the couple have refused to comment on wedding rumours. Heath - who will play The Joker in the next Batman movie The Dark Knight - has previously gushed about how grateful he is to have a family, saying Michelle and their child make him happier than being a movie star.

He said: "I'm incredibly grateful to be a successful actor, and it kind of blows me away sometimes.

"But it's actually less about waking up and thinking how lucky I am to have this family, right now.

"That, for me, blows my mind. A billion times more that anything else. It's like, everything else? Who gives a f***?

I wouldn't mind if they cuss in TDK but then again I really don't care. It's not going to make a big difference in the film. Really it won't make ANY difference.

A small amount of swearing is acceptable. The F-word is off-limits, obviously. In interviews, they can say whatever they want.

He actually lives around my college in Downtown Brooklyn.

I would love it if Mark Hamill Joker went around saying "f***" It'd be hilarious. I dunno about how I'd feel if it were ledger.

no swearing i mean there is no need for it it is a batman film comeon

Heath's Australian, profanity and bad language is alot more acceptable between friends and family in Australia. F**k is like saying damn.

I'm pretty sure my mum would slap me if she heard me say that in place of "damn" though I sort of get where you're coming from, a lot of swear words do seem to have become sort of colloquial terms down here.

I sure hope Joker doesn't use slang in Batman because to me he's a much more elevated form of bad guy. It'd be alright if say Joker's henchmen use it. But really now, any idiot can say the f-word. Joker is above that sort of thing. :D He doesn't say "I'm gonna f*** you up". He just f***s you up, while telling a rabi joke or something. :D

If they are getting married - good luck! They're a cute couple! :)

I could see some slightly mild cussing - if the Green Goblin can say 'pissed off' I dunno why the Joker couldn't.

oh, come on. one of the best lines in Burton's Batman was "I say, you're full of s**t, Knox. You can quote me on that."
you can't completely cut out the possibilty of swearing because Bats deals with some rough, scummy guys. those guys tend to swear.

The joker is now married.

Ledger, Williams tie the knot
January 24, 2007 12:00am
HEATH Ledger and Michelle Williams have married in secret, it has been reported.

The couple - who have a 14-month-old daughter Matilda - applied for a marriage licence in Brooklyn last November and Ledger has now been spotted wearing a wedding ring.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Heath was out walking Matilda and he had a wedding band on his ring finger."

The Australian actor and the former Dawson's Creek actress met on the set of Brokeback Mountain in 2004.

In November last year they collected a marriage license in Brooklyn, where they own a town house in Cobble Hill.

A source said at the time: "Heath and Michelle don't like the spotlight. If they get married it will be a quiet wedding at a local church and then a party at the River Café afterwards for friends and family."

Well he ain't writing the script, so it doesn't matter how much he likes to use the f word.

the only swearing I want is "what are you dense, are you ******ed or something? I'm the god damn batman!" :o

Nepenthes, have you been stalking the Ledgers again? :)
