The Dark Knight Famous Joker Lines/Quotes in The Dark Knight

What does everyone think about the lines we have heard so far from the Joker in TDK (allbeit very few)?

"Let's put a smile on that face"
"You're just a freak....Like Me!"
"Why So Serious?"
"I believe what doesn't kill you, only makes you....stranger"

I like the Jokers lines so far

Me too. And how come no one mentions "It's all... part of the plan" which he no doubt says just as things go really wrong. (Maybe he says it, just as shown in the trailer, when his truck flips over.) I loved that line.

I'd love to hear Joker mutter (to misquote) "sexual repression is a terrible thing ... we must not restrain ourselves..." while holding a grossed out Rachel at knife point and dancing around with her, waiting for Batman to come save the day.

That would be so freakn' funny =)

He could also say it when Gotham is being evacuated.

A goon can say: "But what about that guy that dresses up as a bat? He's still here."

Joker: "It's all... part of the plan." (huge smile) :D

"You know what's funny? The act of laughter, which is a sweet contraction of the muscles of the face, and a pleasant agitation of the vocal organs, it's not merely, or entirely within the jurisdiction of ourselves. Simply put, the essence of laughter...is insanity." :cwink:

I actually heard a great line for Joker to use, but it was from this crazy 16 year old girl who killed a bunch of kids and teachers who went to school across the street from her home with a rifle for christmas. When asked by police why she did it, she said "I don't like Mondays".

OH GOD! NOT THE FAKE TRAILER! ANNNYYTTHHINNGG BUT THAT!!

well i got the reaction i wanted so

:hoboj: ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

seriously though

"But that's the downside of comedy, you're always taking shots from people who just don't get the joke. Like my father ...or Batman."

anyone remember batman cartoon that used to be on in the 80s/90s. My favorite character was The Joker. So I thought I would share my favorite Joker quote from that series.

In episode #69 Trial

The joker is the judge and he is lying in Harley Quinn's lap. Batman's lawyer asks that a remark be stricken from the court record

The Joker looks up in shock: "Record? You mean someone is supposed to be writing this down?"

" Know this, my sweet, the death of Batman must be nothing less than a masterpiece. The triumph of my sheer comic genius over his ridiculous mask and gadgets!! "

" I know how he thinks. " Injustice For All Part 1

Harley: You think Bat's saw you, putty tat?
Joker: Oh he did, he did! He wouldn't dare miss a show about me. He's my biggest fan!

JOKER'S ANSWERING MACHINE: Aha ha ha ha ha! Boy, did you get the wrong number! Leave your name and number at the sound of the shriek.
VOICE ON MACHINE: No, please! Don't! (screams)

"They just don't make straight jackets like they used to, I should know."-Be A Clown

Two-Face: Get outta my face, clown!
The Joker: Which one?

Batman: Joker, I should have known you'd be in on this.
Joker: Really? I must be falling into a rut.

"Ya know I've been reading lately on how ole Guano Man's been wound tight enough to snap. OH, WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT IF I'VE FINALLY DRIVEN HIM OFF THE DEEP END?!!!"

Joker: Where IS HE? He's NEVER been this late BEFORE. There's a certain rhythm to these things. I cause trouble; he shows up. We have some laughs and the game starts all over. (Pointing at Sydney) Only now, thanks to you, I have this terrible feeling that... he's really not coming.

Joker (sadly): Without Batman, crime has no punch line.

Joker (On Late Night Gotham Live): Good evening folks, I'm the Joker. Living proof that you don't have to be crazy to host this show. But it helps! Ha ha!

From "Holiday Knights"
"It's almost magic time and Batman is nowere in sight.
Of course he has that annoying habit of spoiling my fun at the last minute."

that's all i can think of

So... totally... joker...
But I doubt they'd ever use it due to the connection.

I remember in, "The Batman/Superman Adventrures" joker said something liek this on Tv "As you all know, New Years is coming, so as a New years resolution I promise not to kill anyone for a whole Year...so I guess Ill have to Kill as many of you as I can Tonight, hehe Bwhahahahahaha!!!!":hoboj:

Why do you think that?

Thats what I thought, but who knows maybe he just felt like venting ;)

But back to famous quotes to me I'm really excited about TDK with the fact that something felt missing with B89's Joker was the deep conflict between Bats and him. Where Joker sometimes just gets into Bats mind and brings him down from the inside out, causing Bats to go balistic. Though yes he did in B89 but for the wrong reasons, the whole he killed his parents thing.

I love how they are using the *freak* stuff to Bats. Joker brining Bats to his level and trying to make him snap and kill him.

Joker wants Batman to kill him, so that he can destroy everything Bats stands for. One thing I never felt in B89 as much.

Like you said Joker I can't wait for the interigation room. I want lines like Darkness Falls put about Joker saying things like "I know how he does things" Kinda motif.

But yea still the line I want more then ever is his classic line when announcing himself on TV/radio/whatever

"Joker here...."

"If they're going to play with the Joker, they'd better be prepared to deal from the bottom of the deck!" - Batman #1

"Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened. You can lock them away... forever." - Batman: The Killing Joke

"And he didn't die all at once. It was hours before the screaming stopped. I almost didn't get to sleep that night. That was the last time I'd used crushed glass..." - The Joker: Devil's Advocate

"You dirty rat! You killed my brother! My sister! My daughter! She's my sister and my daughter!" - Batman: Dark Victory

"It's all a joke! Everything anybody ever valued or struggled for... it's all a monstrous, demented gag! So why can't you see the funny side? Why aren't you laughing?" - Batman: The Killing Joke

Alan Moore is an excellent author and my favorite comic book writer ever, but his Joker talks way too much like a well-educated Briton. :yay:

I dont know why but that doesn't bother me. oh well. I admit that it was tragic but i dont seem to be that shocked.

It doesn't bother you that one fine morning a 17 year old girl decided that a group of elementary school students grouped together just looked like easy pickings in front of her house and she started blasting away at them with a rifle?

If that doesn't bother you at all, the world is seriously messed up.

I guess after hearing of stuff done in the past and present I think shooting is better then lets say the Spanish Inquisition or performing autopsys on humans living while people are living or people having sex with dead bodies or wearing skin as a coat. I dunno shooting seems so much better.

I guess thats ONE way to look at it... :whatever::csad:

There are so many bad things in the world I guess I have come to terms that the world is a messed up place.
