the lady at the DMV called me fat...

You may or may not be fat, but at least you don't work in the DMV.

I don't know. They make pretty good money. Nice benefits. And you get to troll people all day.

It's actually kinda awesome when you think about it.

If you can fit into one of those photo booths, and can fit your whole face into the photo, then you are not fat.

Time to hit the gym there, chubbs.

so, I went to the DMV today, to renew my license, and the lady at the desk just started sharing at my old picture, and looking at me... and said your look different, I was like, "it is a 5 old picture" at first I am think their really thought, I was try to pass as someone else or something (so, I kinda took it seriously)

and then she's like "you gained a lot of weight"... "your like huge now" she said while puffing up her cheeks, she even call over the lady at the next desk ("to get a second opinion") to look at it... and she starting making fun of have much fatter I am now, too

I was WTF is going here...

this was either the most embarrassing, or the most hilarious thing that ever happened to me

Unsolicited, critical comments on someone's appearance are always inappropriate and you do have the right to report her to her supervisor. That is completely unprofessional.

However, there is a good life lesson here. Regardless of how you look, there is always someone who will think you are too fat/too skinny/too buff (which could only mean you are 'roiding)/ too clean cut/too scruffy etc...Be happy with yourself and tell the haters to suck eggs.

Very true. Just read the Avengers boards. People were calling Scarlett Johansson chubby!

On a side note, what if she had said, "I think fat is sexy,"?

Thats terrible, I can't believe somebody would act so unprofessional and be so insensitive to another persons feelings.

You really should have reported her to her supervisor.

Slim-Fast is your friend.

Im so sorry u had to go thru that...have that skank fired

Next thing you know, some guy's going to sue the DMV because he can't fit in the test vehicle for getting his drivers license.

That sucks ... but it is kind of funny.

You should have shot her the finger ...

Or a really specific insult about her that will bother her for the rest of her life.

Like, your eyes are too close together.

Or your left boob is smaller than your right.

Sue the DMV for harrassment/emotional distress.

The good ol' American way .

Then it would be "Cant".

Cant rhymes with Aunt. :awesome:

But i'm still more offended you didnt call that nasty piece of trash a stupid *****, or ****, or poop face.

Whoa! Hey, language. This is a family site. :o

wasn't sure where else to post this...
... didn't think it was worth a new thread

so, I recently got a letter in the mail the other day that I am up for renewal on my license (geez, has it really been 5 years?)

it says I have the option to either renew online (which would mean keeping the same picture) or go down to the DMV and take a new picture

now in my last picture I was noticeable around 50 pounds over weight

I since lost the weight (actually it was around that same year) an I've more or less kept it off over the years

so, my question is do I keep my fat pic? or take a new one?

on one hand as much as I don't care for the reminder of those days, an am sometimes embarrassed to show my ID (because of it) on the other hand as superficial as it sounds I kinda like getting to say "ya, I lost lot of weight since then" when someone checks my ID and does a double take

I am not usually the cocky type who likes to brag, but I am proud of my accomplishment, and work very to keep in shape these days, so I feel like I have the right too

but I was also thinking, what if I update my photo an over the next 5 years gain the weight back (knock on wood) then I would be showing a skinny picture an having to tell people I gained weight :csad:

I couldn't get a good scan of my actual licenses photo (cause of the hologram)
but, here's a before an after example (of around how I looked back then and now)

Kudos to you for working hard and getting into your desired shape, I'd like to do that myself one of these days. Personally, I'd get the new pic. Had a buddy in a similar situation and he just kept his old ID if the subject ever came up and would show folks. It really is a good idea to have a current photo if possible for various reasons.

Get the new picture. Maybe you can use it as added motivation to keep the weight off.

Maybe get an ego boost if the clerk remarks on your weight loss too.

Burn the DMV down if she's there again! :argh:

Or just cut in line and scream "Remember me now *****? Am I good enough for you now?" then start crying.
