Sam Worthington is heading back to the future again.

The "Avatar" star, who recently toplined "Terminator Salvation," is attached to star in yet another sci-fier: "The Last Days of American Crime."

Set in the not-too-distant future, story involves the U.S. government's plans to secretly broadcast a signal that makes it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts.

Based on Rick Remender's comicbook of the same name, "Last Days of American Crime" will hit shelves next month as a bi-monthly, three-issue miniseries. Greg Tocchini illustrates.

Barry Levine, who heads up the comicbook's publisher Radical Publishing, is producing alongside Michael Schwartz.

I'm so down for this, I've heard great things about Rick Remender.

Worthington is either going to be the next big thing or the biggest fluke Hollywood ever produced.

i have a feeling he's the next Gretchen Mol.

This movie was indeed bad but I’m surprised it got a 0% on RT. The timing probably played a factor in the ultra negative reception of this movie as this definitely doesn’t shy away from showing cops being brutal *******s. That as a result, has to come across as really insensitive given the current political climate right now. The current political climate is so negative against cops right that any depiction of law enforcement(good or bad) in media right now probably is going to rub a lot of people the wrong way. I mean, there’s now yet another protest over a police killing of an unarmed person in Atlanta as I type this. This couldn’t have been released at a worst time than now.

Also....

Netflix's 'The Last Days of American Crime' has a 0% Rotten Tomatoes critic score, but is still one of its most popular movies

lol.

That "awww grow up, Keviiiin" clip Double Toasted played was hilarious.

Michael Pitt man, he's such a good actor and he's in such garbage now. He must have really angered people after that Boardwalk Empire fiasco.

I think that's the problem with RT, it doesn't really give movies a fair score. (Or it looks bad anyway) People might assume it's "the worst movie of all time," while in theory every single critic could've rated it 5/10... and it still gets 0%.

But in no way I'm saying that this movie is actually good :oldrazz:

Is that Rt's fault or people's fault that they don't try and understand how RT works? Because it is (or at least was I haven't frequented RT in about a year) clear that that's how it worked.

EDIT: Oh they have hidden the average score even more. Dumb move

A lot of people are "uninformed." They see that 0% and think that's the actual rating of the movie. But I can't blame them because it also doesn't help that studios like to flash that number when it's good... and then you have all the Youtubers making videos if it's really bad
