Somewhere Dylan Baker is pounding a wall.
Lizard is a great character but I want Scorpion too.
Yeah, I really feel bad for him. He totally got hosed by Sony. Nixed. F-ed.
Raimi too. In a way, I wish Raimi got his shot to make a 4th. I think he would've done Vulture and Lizard together seeing as how bad the fans wanted Connors to turn and how badly he wanted to use Vulture in "Spider-Man 3" but didn't get the chance because Sony wanted Venom so badly.
Oh well... this is a step in the right direction. I sort of agree with the whole 'Lizard can't work on his own' but then I also don't buy it. If Lizard can retain some human intelligence and speak, we can see the conflict between man and beast. Think "Wolf Man" or other movies where both sides are constantly battling each other. I think having Connors being obsessed with his research and work, making a breakthrough, transformation happens, he can't go back to his wife and kid because he's now a monster, and wanting to change back but can't due to this new body--- with also accidentally killing a few people under the influence of the Lizard, would make a compelling movie.
But if they want two villains, Lizard and Kraven are the ideal choices, but I think it should just be Lizard with Norman Osborne waiting in the shadows.
They could have Peter be a high schooler and have him also helping Connors at the lab after school...but you might be right...I prefer HS though..Yeah, well I am not surprised he will be The Lizard. I think it's a great choice, with a deep story and also great action sequences! I can only pray that they won't blow it CGI-wise!
Also, I truly hope the movie will take place in College, I would preffer that instead of having it in High School and I do hope this part of the Article will turn out to be true:
Rumors persist that the Spider-Man reboot is actually set in college, not high school. The inclusion of Connors supports this unless theyve altered his origin as a college professor for the film
And what better way to have a secret uninspired threat such as Dr. Connors evolving into the Lizard, and in a way intwining my similarities with Peter Parker becoming Spiderman and how he deals with his problem; or more simply to say, both coming from a similar background, but both going two completely different directions.
