World The Lizard's Lizard collection...

Hey "The Lizard". Were you ever successfull in hunting down any sketchagraphs from Fleer Ultra Spiderman '97? Man, are these hard to find. Here's one of mine, thought you might like it:

Lates!

EDIT: I just started up a thread about these as well, showing my other 23 cards.

Cool - I posted there before I saw your post here.

I'm still looking for Sketchagraphs from the 97' Spidey and '98 Silver age series.

I've seen Lizzy sketchagraphs by Marie Severin, Czop, Frenz, and a couple others that I have scans of, but I haven't been able to find any for myself yet.

Hey,

I'd love to see a scan of the Frenz/Lizard... can you post it here? Or whatever other Liz sketchagraphs you have scans of?

I can dig up a few other Lizard sketchagraph scans myself that you probably haven't seen.

I'll think about whether I'd sell or trade my Cruz/Lizard over the next few days :)

I will post some more Lizard sketchagraph scans later today. :)

OK, it's now later...

Two more from MCC '98. Damn, you had my hopes up on seeing a Frenz sketchagraph! Ultra rare. Milgrom is kinda common.

Yeah - sorry about that Frenz mix-up. Thanks for posting those- I'm always on the lookout for more to add to my Lizard archive. :)

Here's a another item I'm looking for...

Hey Lizard I was wondering, those newspaper clipings that you wanted with the Lizard arc, were those in like the saturday morning paper because if they are I have those lol. Are you looking for the one where the Lizard thinks Mary Jane is his wife and mistaking her for Martha? Just wondering.

YES! That is indeed the newspaper strip storyline from Nov 2002 - Feb 2003 that I've been trying to find!

I'll send you a PM. :)

I assume you mean Amazing Spider-Man # 6 from November 1963 - great issue!

I remember when I bought my first copy of ASM # 6 at a little comic book shop in Bradenton Florida back in the day. The price was $18.00 for the G/VG condition comic. In that condition, I could probably get about $300-$400 for it on Ebay today.
However, I also notice that there always seems to be several copies of ASM # 6 available on Ebay at any given time, so it's really not a hard-to-find issue as far as early Spidey comics go.

Hey Liz do you have #6 in UK version. It has a diffrent cover that is very cool. Also I just sent out the comic strips so you should get them in a few days. Hope you enjoy them I know I did.

Yeah thats right, him and the Lizard are both falling it's sort of like the battle at the end of the comic. Actually it is the battle.

I have a UK reprint version of ASM # 6 with different cover art. You can see it here, along with a few other ASM #6 reprints: http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2161602&postcount=101.

The original 1960's UK printing of ASM #6 looked just like the US version except it had a price of "9d" instead of 12 cents.

You da man! :D

Since this statue will inevitably join the Lizard collection, I guess I should post it here now...

Liz; check wth Dave's comics down in Fayettevile. He had a bunch of those UK books when i was there a week ago..not sure if he still has them, or even if The Lizard issue was among them...not even sure what condition they were in (just saw the covers)...but it may be worth a call.

Thanks for the info CS!

I gave Dave's a call, but they only have the UK Spidey comic reprints from the 80's, not the more recent UK Spidey magazines. However, the guy at Dave's suggested I email ForbiddenPlanet in London, so I did! Hopefully they can help. :)

Hey Lizard,I posted this in the bust/statue thread, but I figured I would post in here incase you didn;t check out that thread.

Its the upcoming Lizard bust from Bowen in sculpt process

Heres Randy Bowen on the Lizard mini bust from statuesforum.com

Also: Ignore the center shot of Lizard (in the snea peeks). His head wasn't glued on, so it's in a goofy position in that shot. The piece was sculpted by Sam Greenwell and me. I did the head and arms, Sam did the rest.

Sam had originally sculpted this peice years ago, but I decided to revise it after seeing the realistic Komodo Dragon version that was release by Diamond(?)

So THAT'S what happened to that Bowen Lizard bust!

I remember hearing about it over a year ago in Wizard, but nothing ever was released - now I know why. Thanks for the info! Hopefully I'll be able to buy one of these soon.
