didn't know where to post this, but...

i finally got around to seeing "The Lost Boys" the other day (don't ask me why--my wife and i are into that show "The Two Coreys" on A&E) and i noticed some Batman (and Superman) connections. First, the Executive Producer was Richard Donner, of "Superman: The Movie" fame. Second, Haim's character was a comic buff, and he made mention of both Batman and Superman comics (including there being only 4 Batman #14s--is this true?). and finally, the most obvious: it was directed by the real Bane in the Batman universe--Joel Shumacher. This movie was better than both of his Batman films.

Just thought I'd point this out; I thought it was interesting.

^^^yeah, i really had no intention on it. the wife rented it. it actually wasn't as bad as i thought it would be.

I watched it at school. It was pretty good.

Lost Boys is one of the coolest vampire flicks ever!

You know how most kids born in the early 80's grew up on disney movies? I grew up on horror and action flicks. So this was one of those movies I used to watch constantly. I love this **** man I takes the best things about Fright Night & Near Dark (other 80's vampire classics) and blends them together damn well. Also has some of the funniest unintentional moments in movie history, the shirtless sax player with the spandex pants comes to mind.

lmfao I always heard the lady behind him was Tina Turner. Apparently he used to play sax in her band. He's now married to Vince McMahon's daughter and answers to the name HHH.

There's supposedly a direct to DVD sequel coming up.

EXCL: First Lost Boys 2 Casting News!

Our last report on Warner Bros.' long-mooted The Lost Boys 2 was a mawkish affair. As it turns out, the on-air wetworks was merely a display of crocodile tears.

ShockTillYouDrop.com has exclusively learned from an anonymous source that the vampire-slayin' Frog Bros. - Feldman and Jamison Newlander - are indeed returning for the next "Lost" adventure...and so is Corey Haim, reprising his role as Sam Emerson.

Lensing begins, with P.J. Pesce (From Dusk Till Dawn 3) at the helm, a week from Monday.

On the newcomer tip, we've also been informed Angus Sutherland - Keifer's half-brother (and son of Donald Sutherland and Francine Racette) - will star as this film's big bad vamp.

Tad Hilgenbrink (next seen in the upcoming Amusement) and Autumn Reeser ("The O.C.") have been cast as the leads.

the lost boys is a really cool movie. i was never really big on feldog or haimster but this movie is good. im suprised that joel schmucker directed .

Man that sequel sounds like it's gonna be a hot mess. They'll have Sam and The Frog Brothers but they're the only link to the original and won't even be the stars of the thing? I guess I'll see it out of curiosity and it's cool that they got that other Sutherland though I expect something as contrived as him being David's brother being written into the film.
