Mmm... that's gorgeous.

Now... this is going to get a little weird, since it's just the two of us... Grab that chair... and snarl at me.. like.... like a dragon.

only after you put on your robe and wizard hat...

You know... Don't pretend you don't know... :oldrazz:

Krypton (Looks Like a Lady)

Logan was pretty much the perfect film for me. Give the rest of the Genre a Viking funeral like it deserves.

We're not gonna end the CBM boom just because you want to use the excuse of encroaching Christendom to rally your reavers to pillage the unprotected villages of Northern Europe, Roose.

Not again.

I walked out of the theatre, and some guy said that he thought Guardians would probably be better than what we had just seen. I was very tempted to carve a blood eagle into him and deny him a place the Valkyries feast.

i thought you told us before that you have a kid?

I do, my daughter just turned 12 in January. I signed over my rights to her when she was 1, hence, she is not dependent on me to take care of her. As far as I know she is not aware of me.

Someone here is keeping files.

Will it live to this standard on later views?

It's not the kind of movie someone would watch a lot of times, it's emotionally very exhausting. But I don't imagine it'll be anything less than a masterpiece in my eyes on repeat viewings. It ticked all the boxes I wanted.

I saw Logan today at a theater really far out in the suburbs because they have this thing called XD and I wanted to see what that was about. I felt a little bit like Mac and Dennis felt in that episode where they moved to the suburbs. Everything was just way to clean, the people I saw were a mixture of the "cash me outside" types and those types that like to wear forest camo jackets all the time even if they aren't hunting anything.

I had originally planned to watch it Sunday afternoon with a group of friends. I'm still going to do that, so I guess Logan will probably be the first Marvel movie I have seen more than once in the theater.

Without spoiling anything... Your thoughts?

I'd say it was the most emotional and well made comic book movie to be released in a while. A little spoiler.
I thought it was cool that the villain of the movie was basically capitalism. It's revealed at the end of the movie that the guy who created X-23 is also responsible for the virus that prevented mutants from being born and his reasoning for that is if he can create his own mutants then they can be sold as soldiers. The movie is actually full of product placement, one of the villains mentions that Logan drives a 2024 Chrysler, Laura is eating Corn Flakes with the box next to her in one scene, during a state of delirium Xavier repeats a Taco Bell ad, and at the end it's revealed that the whole reason for why mutants were wiped out was so mutants could be created in labs and be treated like any other product that could be bought and sold.
