There's been a ton of staties in my hometown, which is an out of the way place with maybe 2000 people for its population. I think 1800 is a closer estimate for the population.

So has anyone on here from small towns ever had a large state trooper occupation? They're freaking everywhere in my area.

There are 4 state troopers plus one supervisor in my entire city but there are far more city cops. Usually there are more state troopers the farther away from a city you are.

I live in a small town, about 8,000. We have about 50 officers because of a recent rise in gang violence.

The town next to us has 85,000 people and like a zillion cops.

Nah, but seriously, not much happens here....once I did have a murder suicide on my street. Kinda nutso.

But mostly just drugs and alcohol related stuff.
