Age of Ultron The Maria Hill A:AOU Thread

In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we see her
working in a Stark office at the end of the movie.

i wish she'd cameo in Ant-Man; in whatever position she's trying out for at Stark Industries (i hope it's security chief).

I believe
That wasn't just a Stark office.. that was Avengers Tower...
:cwink:

Maybe she's the one keeping a close eye to the Avengers for Fury since he is hiding.

BTW. Is she really appearing in A2?

after seeing her in agents of shield she probably play an important role in aou

Tony (on intercom): Hill?

Maria: Yes Mr Stark?

Tony: Coffee and a Cronut, stat

Maria: Right away

Could she actually be a member of the team? There was a recent run (Heroic Age or something I think? John Romita Jr drew it) where she basically coordinated the team. This seems like it makes the most sense because the can't have her go back to a new version of SHIELD after Tuesday's AOS ep and unless they want to make her Stark's coffee girl which is very unlikely, I think this idea is quite likely.

I don2t think she'll be tony's coffee girl. I think she'll have access to quinnjet or any rooms in avengers tower.

she'll be security chief while Happy is recovering...very slowly. i think Bethany Cabe had that role in the books.

I think she'll be logistical manager for the Avengers. If the Avengers are stepping up their game, that means they need things: support personnel, liaisons with government and law enforcement, facilities, communications and intelligence. These are all things Maria Hill would be competent at handling.

Maria Hill might have some fun at the Avengers party, since she is a party guest and might play a secondary role.

I think all of this was mentioned in an interview with Smulders. And she's coming back for Civil War as well, which means she'll be running that with Stark as well.

Can't wait to see Maria Hill in the movie. I hope we get at least one action scene from her just like in the first movie. :)

For whatever reason, Cobie's casting is the weak link for me. I've had a hard time with her as Hill, even after her multiple appearances in Avengers, Agents of SHIELD, and Cap 2. I'd be fine if she ends up being a peripheral character in AoU unless they've given her something that better establishes her as the bad@ss that Hill should be.

I think she does a good job with the material that she's provided with.

On the other hand, I do wish we'd get to see more of what's Hill is capable of. It always seemed to me that Maria Hill would be a perfect character for a one-shot.

Also not impressed in A1....at first. Then on re-watch (after my personal mania over TWS), I found her adequate.

I think her character is underwritten in relation to her screen time/presence and I think the actress is not up to perhaps the hard-edge comic version that I believe has morphed strangely into Cobie Smulders. Her on screen version will probably never be the B from H force of nature on the good guys' team, (seriously, based on the one fight scene from AoS, the character would benefit from a good fight choreographer) but I do think she is a useful support character and from press junkets and comicon footage, she seems to be well liked.

From the clips of AoU, it looks like she'll be 80% eye candy (like BW in IM2), 20% badass in this one, perhaps. I seem to recall she is packing heat in a garter belt during the party scene, so there is something.

Just a noob question guys, is Maria Hill technically an "Avenger" in MCU (though she's more of the support role)?

I think at this point, they must make Maria Hill more of an integral part of the team. Since Potts seemed to be missing due to Paltrow possibly being dropped from MCU, I think Marvel should make Hill the new superhero. In the comics, Potts was given the Rescue armor by Stark, and I think in Infinity Wars Stark should give Hill a suit of armor as well. Maybe with a name that is better than Rescue, but I think this move would elevate Hill instead of keeping her as a secretary or assistant of Stark. MCU needs more female superheroes, anyway.

I wonder if she'll be involved with:
That new SHIELD-esque Avengers group. Dr. Selvig, Dr. Cho, and some of the SHIELD guys that Fury brought back were there, so Hill could be involved as well.

She was there.

Depends on what you mean by "is an Avenger"?

Err, can't really wrap my head around it, but I guess being called as an "Avenger"? Sorry, if this sounds confusing! :woot:

I do remember Maria Hill was part of one the theatrical posters in the first movie that's why I initially thought she was always regarded as an Avenger even though she didn't get to fight in the frontlines.

Raiden, have to agree with you on that!
