Age of Ultron Pepper Pots anyone?

For the first Avengers movie, RDJ campaigned to have both Gwenyth and Don be in the movie. However, they let him pick one and that's why we got Pepper in the movie. Looks like Don is getting his time here, so I doubt Pepper's in this movie.

Seriously? Never knew that. That's a bummer. This is a real personal one for Tony so it doesn't feel right Pepper not being there.

Don? Oh Cheadle. Yeah, I can see that. I expect he'll show up in Civil War as well. Let him and Falcon duke it out. :hehe:

Well, I'd say it wouldn't feel right if she's not at least mentioned. But they can do that easily.

Yeah I'm sure she will get mentioned, but there should be a character moment between her and Tony through this. I mean he's the guy who created the villain.

I still say they'll have ties back to Hank Pym somehow(regarding Ultron's origins). Whedon will find a way to in some way honor what the history was in the comics. He was trying to find a way to squeeze Wasp into the first Avengers movie after all and you know the only reason for that was because she was a co-founder in the comics. I trust Whedon that whenever possible he'll try and pin it back to match what happened in the comics in some way. He's an old school fan after all with a genuine love for this mythos and these characters.

I bet when Tony went through all of the SHIELD files in the first Avengers, he might have come across the original plans for Ultron.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ultron's AI is based of Hank's brain patterns.

I doubt he will. Tony is the one shouldering the blame for this one, and it linking back to Pym in some way wouldn't make sense, unless it's on a totally superficial level.

Tony can still shoulder the blame even if the raw material that he and Bruce start working with to bring Ultron to life originally came from another source like Pym.

If the blame falls on Tony and Ultron sees them as his creators, then having the AI tie back to Pym really is only the most superficial connection. It wouldn't have any impact on Ultron's story, and seems like it would only be included as a cheap shout out.

Damn. I guess Ultron is gonna be a cunning linguist.

Watch out Pepper. Fortunately Ultron's throat is robotic, eh?

The joke going over his head or your head?

I think it's safe to say that Tony was never able to fix Extremis and Pepper blew up.

Well they already said otherwise. Though if you're joking then just disregard this post.

Hank Pym is Michael Douglas. Michael Douglas had throat cancer which was attributed to certain sexual activities. Ultron has a robotic throat which is resistant to infections.

Oh, ok. I literally knew nothing about Douglas having cancer. I don't typically follow celeb's private lives.

While it would've been nice for Pepper to have a few scenes in AOU it probably would've felt too similar to AOU. Hopefully we'll just hear Tony on the the tail end of a phone call, or see a text from her.

If it was a choice between Pepper or Rhodey I'm glad we're getting Rhodey. He was under utilized in IM3, and while he's just another guy in an IM suit, his personality and style will bring a nice breath of fresh air.

As much as Gweneth annoys people in RL, I actually like her in the role of Pepper, and she has great chemistry with RDJ.

I don't really listen to celebrities, about parenting advice, so I've pretty much ignored all the controversy she starts when talking about the proper way to raise and feed children. But from an outsiders perspective, if I tried to take her seriously it would annoy the ever living **** out of me.

I love RDJ and Gwyneths chemistry. They work really well together and I couldn't think of a better couple of actors to play the roles of Tony and Pepper. They're really perfect for the parts.
