All of these things are based on kind of moot points

like "Oh, Superskrull was in Annihilation".

Annihilus isn't even a better villain than Kang. A lot of these characters are being used in their first or second important arcs. Kang has had 2-3 important stories per decade. it's just no comparison.

One of Kang's alternate existences (Immortus) becomes basically a Time God; The main timeline Kang has an empire in the 31rst Century that's bigger than the empires of the Skrull or Kree; he's conquered the Sh'iar the Badoon, and tons of other empires.

Superskrull is a high ranking soldier in the Skrull army. Whoopdie freakin' doo.

Indeed...Kingfish...the only reason Kang isn't as popular as Magneto or Doctor Doom is Avengers as a team haven't gotten nearly the exposure that the Fantastic Four or X-Men have in terms of Cartoons, movies etc. He's truly one of marvel's best.

I see in terms of X-Men

Kang= Apocalypse (uber threat that requires reserves and a bit of luck)
Ultron = Magneto (close personal relationship with characters; major threat but requires less of a mega arc to involve him.)

neither really has the recognition they deserve though; both imo are top 10 marvel villains; I'm not even sure Super-Skrull is a top 20.
