Ok, let's see who gets the answer to this question first, what director, with 3 or more major movies under his/her belt, has the highest per movie average when considering worldwide box office?

Steven Spielberg? Bryan Singer? Tarantino?

Probably Spielberg.

Jaws, Indy, Jurassic, Ryan, ..... would be shocked if its not him.

Update on Spielberg ...

Box office mojo says ..... Lifetime Gross Total (23): $3,447,944,266

Over 3 billion.

Average: $149,910,620

But Peter Jackson is a little higher.....

Lifetime Gross Total (8): $1,271,747,711
Average: $158,968,464

EDIT: Oh damn George Lucas is a lot higher...

Lifetime Gross Total (6): $1,700,470,625
Average: $283,411,771

I think that's our winner

Ahh yes.

Good old George.

I guess if it was just lifetime gross Steven would win ??

Not George or Peter, they are #2 and #4.

Speilberg isn't even close, though he might be #1 as far as pure gross.

It's somebody a tad more obscure :)

It took some thinking but I figured it out....

Andrew Adamson

Has only directed three films: The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek 1 and Shrek 2.

Three giant films.
Lifetime Gross Total (3): $1,000,602,215
Average: $333,534,072

Yep, and worldwide it's like $712 million, good one.

James Cameron was right behind Lucas btw.
