We've had the likes of Robert Redford and Glenn Close recently in the MCU phase 2 movies.

Pick one big, potentially legendary actor/ actress you'd like to see in the MCU for any of the films not yet produced (or even one to join an existing production as a late addition). They can just be a small or supporting role. If they don't normally appear in this kind of movie, that's even better.

My choice would be Meryl Streep. She would bring tons of gravitas to a role. I'm not sure who she would be. Probably a kind of role like Redford or Close. The head of something that's for sure.

there are few actors as legendary as Redford, most of them are dead or retired or both. I've to go with Kirk Douglas as Ancient One.

...or Woody Allen. Nut sure which role, but I'd kill to see that

Woody Allen could've been the Molecule Man if he were younger. He's a bit old for that now.

Denzel, although I don't think he'd settle for anything less than a commanding lead role given his track record. I'd love to see him as a supporting character(hero or villain) with a strong presence, but not necessarily a main. Maybe if they did Blade with an Old Man Logan spin(Book of Eli gave this sort of vibe)...but then again maybe not.

Agatha Harkness, for Avengers 3, or possibly even in a Dr Strange movie :word:

James Franco :) Not sure how big he's considered...

For that matter, Willem Dafoe.

Yeah.

Bruce willis or Kurt Russell as the true nick fury.

I remember when people thought Redford might be the true Nick Fury.

A really big catch would be Sean Connery. He's been a part of nearly all popular stories or franchises on the big screen - Indiana Jones, King Arthur, Robin Hood, Bond (of course), the Avengers (:p), Jack Ryan series, Highlander, etc. Adding a superhero movie to his resume would be great - and I don't mean League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Kirk Douglas is dead now, but there's always his son, Michael Douglas. Wouldn't allow him to get near Glenn Close though or Rocket Raccoon might get boiled in a saucepan.

He's actually still alive at 96

Tom Cruise or Leonardo DiCaprio in a X-Men movie.

I'm talking about the MCU, not the Fox or Sony-owned properties.

That said, either of those two actors could easily be in an MCU film. Cruise might want the lead, unless he agrees to a supporting role much like he had in Tropic Thunder where he didn't mind not being the main focus.

Currently my two favorite actors are Joseph Gordon Levitt and Ryan Gosling

I want to see Joseph Gordon Levitt as Dr. Strange and Ryan Gosling as Daredevil

He's still kicking and screaming.

I want to see these all time greats somewhere in the MCU. Denzel Washington, Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver.

Denzel
De Niro
Fiennes
Smith (Will)
DiCaprio
Cruise
Freeman

De Niro: HELL YEAHH
Fiennes: Would make an awesome villain.
Smith: This guy has become a real a-hole lately.
DiCaprio: Possibly.
Cruise: Could see him playing a 'Justin Hammer' type character
Freeman: Does Marvel own the right to 'The Watcher'? If so this would be one of the few race changes that I would support.

I was thinking the other day about mike Myers. His cartoonishness and humour would make him ideally placed for the mu but I can't seem to think of anyone in particular.

Maybe rocket raccoon? That's thinking outside the box

"Do Raccoon's make you horny baby?"

My mistake. I thought he died a couple of years ago. I know he had a stroke so he's not that clear when he speaks and certainly doesn't sound like the Kirk Douglas of old.

Sadly I believe Fox owns them. :(

I actually wanted Freeman for The Collector in GOTG before Del Toro was cast
