The Nun II | Warner Bros.

I enjoyed The Nun so I'm definitely up for this.

The first one was generic, lame, boring, cliched, and just all around terrible. Top 5 worst horror movie of last year.

So just like Annabelle, a film nobody seemingly liked but made loads of cash produced a sequel that nobody seemingly liked but made even more loads of cash.

Hopefully they turn it around, the first one was such a disappointment.

Annabelle Creation has 70% critics score and a 67% Audience score on RT.com. With a B on Cinemascore. People liked it. Personally I thought it was right up there with Conjuring 1. If they can do the same with the Nun sequel thatd be great. Still irks me how mediocre the first Nun film was.

Now what I'm wondering is whether this will take place before or after Conjuring 2.

I love religious horror, and I loved the first one. I’m definitely seeing this.

Last one was underwhelming and not really good, though found some entertainment value as a rewatch a few months ago.

Trailer for this one looks promising.

I've only seen the first film once, and was meh on it, but I dug the atmosphere. This looks cool though honestly.

It's hard to get excited when the first film is considered the worst film of the series.

With The Nun I realized jump scares don't work on me anymore. (In the Conjuring universe) I was unintentionally laughing at those scenes, just because of how silly it looked. The demon was just literally trying to scare people, almost like a prank. You could predict when the jump scares were going to happen, the movie relied way too much on them. It was already getting old at that point.

The first movie wasn't scary at all, so I hope this one turns out to be a bit better.

I'd say The Curse of La Llorona is worse, maybe even Conjuring 3, but just because that one annoyingly doesn't follow the established rules of the mainline Conjuring films and it's such a steep drop in quality from the first two.

The bad news of course is that the director of those two has a new film coming out... and it's The Nun II.
La Llorona is supposed to be part of the franchise, but the director says it's not.

I remember watching The Nun and i swear to god i let out the biggest laugh in the theater when Valak used the force to grab a shotgun, idk why that got me so much but i thought it was hilarious, anyway, hoping this one is scary and not unintentionally funny.
