Who's hosting next week? I heard Rhianna is the musical guest and what was the digital short about?

I missed like 15 mins.

Since next week is a re-run, I may watch the Wanda Sykes Show over on Fox to see what that show is about.

Edit: I may watch the December 5th show after all

last night's episode was better than the January Jones episode but still didn't beat the Gerard Butler or Taylor Swift episodes, IMO.

You can't get much worse than the Jones episode. Also, the Gerard Butler show was pretty weak with the exception of one sketch ("What-Up With That?").

I loved the Beauty and the Beast sketch though. There were some other smaller sketches that made me laugh in that episode.

A surprisingly funny SNL episode with Joseph, I wonder why he isn't more famous he certaintly has the comedic chops from his years on 3rd Rock From The Sun, and Dave Mathews was dead on as Ozzie.

Too bad there wasn't a G.I.Joe parody I guess even Joseph knew the movie blew.

I don't watch Gossip Girl so I don't know who's the principal star of that show but why is Blake Lively hosting instead of the much more attractive Leighton Meester?

Well for one, they don't cast the show based on appearances?

damn JGL is looking more and more like Heath Ledger. He could play the Joker in a small cameo

I was hoping we'd get through to the next show without someone bringing up the Joker thing................guess not.

Watching actual Jeopardy and they used one of the SNL Celebrity Jeopardy categories.

States that end with the word "Hampshire"

I never knew JGL was such a triple-threat talent. I hope I get to see more of him in any genre of film, TV or broadway.

the "Say Anything" skit was great. Sudekis was pretty funny as the girl's neighbor.

Yeah, I've always been a huge fan of Levitt, but he really stepped it up on SNL. He was everywhere...perfect host.

This just makes me sad. There's no way to get around the fact that the show is back to sucking again after such a strong season last year even if you don't count the Tina Fey cameos. Does anything find either of the two new women on the cast the least bit funny? Seriously. This just goes to show what happens when Lorne Michaels dumps someone as talented as Michaela Watkins, arbitrarily.

-so sayeth the mastermind-

Nasim Pedrad is very likeable, but Jenny Slate sucks...

As for JGL, in his opening monologue, I turned to my mom and asked her "What do you think? Is he overacting or on drugs?" The guy was bouncing off the walls the whole time. Cocaine? Maybe...

He seems a tad bit eccentric...does he have some sort of...dissorder...(didn't know how to put that politely)...or is he just high on life?

Funny? I don't know but Nasim Pedrad who poked fun of Kim Kardashian in the January Jones episode is definitely not bad to look at.

Even in the closing of the show he seemed overtly excited, I gotta give props to JGL either way he sure brought energy to the show, especially fun was in the game show skit of him playing a kind of latin lover type.

"Saturday Night Live" has landed Taylor Lautner as a host.

Lautner and James Franco are the two newest names to be added to "SNL's" December hosting lineup, according to "Access Hollywood," after "Gossip Girl's" Blake Lively was revealed as the Dec. 5 host, paired with Rihanna as musical guest.

Lautner, who became a "Rolling Stone" cover boy and was briefly on NBC with the short-lived "My Own Worst Enemy," will follow on Dec. 12, making his hosting debut alongside musical guest Bon Jovi.

Lautner can be seen next in the romantic comedy "Valentine's Day," to be released in February 2010.

Franco, who has been guest starring on "General Hospital," will host for his second time out on Dec. 19 with the band Muse. Franco has his own romantic comedy coming out, "Your Highness" opposite Natalie Portman in 2010, and the upcoming biopic "Howl" about poet Allen Ginsberg. ()

Can't wait.

The Taylor Lautner appearance will attract huge ratings and a bunch of screaming teen girls who want to see him without a shirt.

James Franco would not be bad....there better be a Pineapple Express spoof of some kind.
