Okay, so I noticed there weren't any threads in this forum about technical issues (or any other issues really) that go into making a film. I decided it might be good to have a catch-all thread where people could come ask for help and share their knowledge on film making. Things like what camera you should get on your budget, where you can buy the right make-up to make The Joker's face look just right, or what composer's work you should look into for the soundtrack of your new film noir could fit under this category. Heck, if someone has something you want that they're willing to sell, the two of you may be able to mention that here and set it up privately. Basically, this is the "help eachother" thread for filmmakers.

I'm thinking of doing a Watchmen prequel that will be a sort of profile on Rorschach (that will feature another notorious DC villain, but I won't spoil it) so I'll kick it off by asking what's the best way to put a Rorschach mask together. I don't want to do the shifting ink blot thing and I don't have the budget to even if I did, so one consistent ink blot will do just fine. Any ideas?

I like the idea.

start experimenting with fabrics I might just put fabric on my head and tie it at the neck. But if you want something cleaner. Try looking at making the perfect spiderman costume in the products forum of spiderman. They could help you out

I was thinking of making the mask out of white nylon over black mesh. Cut out parts of the white nylon, exposing the black mesh and forming a Rorschach ink blot.

That would look great if it has good lighting. Just be carful not to let the nylon fray. but is it nylon or latex?
